I was there in Oct 2010 for joint BBQ and Kayak classes. (The BBQers learned to cook and the kayakers were our food testers.)

Weather was very comfortable. Short sleeves during the day, except for the midges. Lightweight jacket in the evening.

I'm thinking about the Oct 4 or Oct 18 2015 trip. What is the weather like?
Thank you for your help in advance.

Sorry about the two empty posts - the site won't let me delete them. Anyway, I'm renting a car to enjoy the nearly two days of touring potential on the start and end days....

Looking ahead to the March 22, 2015 program - I'm arriving in Savannah by train in the morning. Anyone want to share transport? I could get over to the airport if there are no other train fans in the group....

asking again: is anyone else attending the oct. 12, 2014 session who would like to share transportation from savannah airport? -melinda kough

Actually, we're spending a few days in historic Charleston first, and a few days in Savannah afterwards. A rental car picked up in Charleston, and returned to Savannah might be the cheapest option. Anyone interested in a ride from Charleston around 2pm Sunday? Or a ride to Savannah Friday morning? Contact jhgarbuckle@gmail.com
