ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Jo Ann Hunt Jul 09, 2013 at 11:18 PM

Arriving in Halifax on August 7 at about 1 p.m. Anyone interested in sharing a taxi or limo?

Fran Lowe Jul 07, 2013 at 12:06 AM

Three of us are coming in 8/6 at 3PM. I called the Atlantica and asked about a limo, they gave me the name of a company but when I called them they said 3 passengers would cost $89 for an SUV, the $59 taxi would only take 2 people with 3 pieces of luggage. I will call them and ask again, but we had just planned on finding a cab at the ground transportation.
Llewellyn Lutchansky Jul 08, 2013 at 02:27 PM

Hmmm, maybe the limo service filled the other seats with non-RS passengers. I'll look up the email address for the limo service that we used and send it to you. Llewellyn

thanks, if you have that email it would be helpful, I only have a phone and the lady I spoke to was hard to understand
Fran Lowe Jul 12, 2013 at 10:56 AM

The hotel sent me an email confirmation with the email for the limo. I contacted them with the number of people and the size & number of suitcases & they quoted the $59 rate, so I made a reservation. Perhaps they offer a special rate for hotel guests. They are not requiring prepayment so if they change the rate when we get there we can go with someone else.

We are arriving on Aug 7th around 3 and would like infor about the limo if you could let me know.

I think we're not supposed to post that kind of information on here. If you contact the hotel they can give you the email address, or send me an email and I'll send it back.

I am participating in the August 21, 2013 program but am arriving a day early (20th) at 5:24 pm on United 8500 from Toronto. Anybody interested in sharing a taxi to the hotel?

Donald Mckenzie Jun 28, 2013 at 02:26 PM

Pretty difficult to get to Halifax from the West Coast, Seattle. I'm doing the Sept 11, 2013 trip and decided to go via Toronto, spend a few nights wandering, before heading to Halifax. That is only way to arrive at a reasonable hour unless I do a red eye, and I'm too old to do that, as well as.. wise!!!!

Llewellyn Lutchansky Jun 24, 2013 at 11:26 PM

Two of us are arriving in Halifax on Aug 6 (a day early) at 4:27 pm from Philadelphia, and we have the Atlantica limo reserved to pick us up. We would enjoy sharing the ride if anyone else is coming in at that time or a bit before. The total cost is $59 (+ gratuity) for up to 4.

Thanks - Am arriving the afternoon of July 9th for the July trip.

Leslie Cummings Jun 20, 2013 at 05:38 PM

My expected arrival in Halifax is 9 July, 4;10 PM on United. Anyone else near that time?
