How many people are typically in a tour group?
Kata Ihász Sep 30, 2014 at 07:10 AM

Dear Russel, it may vary between 15 and 30, depending on the dates/program type. Maximum number of pax for this program is 36, and as of next year we plan 1 program to be maximum 24 pax (small group). Best from Kata Ihász, Country coordinator in Hungary.

Would like to hear from anyone going on the October 8, 2014 departure.
Jill L. Sep 10, 2014 at 09:48 AM

Is it the Prague, budapest program? My husband and I are going on that one.
Nancy Cunningham Sep 11, 2014 at 12:03 AM

Yes, that one. I am traveling with a friend. We have been reading like crazy about Czech Rep and Hungary. I even made a spread sheet to sort out Prague and Budapest, as I keep getting them confused. I plan to pack light and hope for good weather. We are most definitely planning to go to one or more Ottoman era baths in Budapest on a free day. Have you been on a RS trip before? Looking forward to this, my first one..
Marilyn Whiteley Oct 06, 2014 at 03:33 PM

It's close to departure time, and my husband and I will be there, too. See you there! I think this is our 10th Elderhostel/Exploritas/Road Scholar program, and we've enjoyed them all.

Linda Ellis Jul 30, 2014 at 02:00 PM

My husband and I are scheduled for the Oct 15-30 trip. We fly from BWI. Anyone else from the Washington-Baltimore area for this particular trip?

Pat Damsgaard Apr 12, 2014 at 03:11 PM

Going on Sept. 4th program, then on to Vienna from Budapest. Looking for best way to get there by land. Any Suggestions? Also would like recommendations for lodging in Vienna.
Kata Ihász Apr 14, 2014 at 01:44 PM

Would recommend to use ÖBB Railjet, which is regular train connection between Budapest and Vienna at a very reasonable price. For more info: https://www.oebb.at/en/Services/Trains_and_equipment/Our_trains/OeBB_railjet/index.jsp Looking forward to meeting you in Budapest! Kata Ihász country coordinator for Hungary
Pat Damsgaard Apr 14, 2014 at 02:09 PM

Many thanks! Looking forward to meeting you also. Any hotel recommendations in Vienna?
Kata Ihász Apr 15, 2014 at 04:13 AM

Dear Pat, try Hotel Austria in Fleischmarkt street. In the city center, no need for public transport and reasonable rates. Looking forward to meeting you!
