ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Be prepared for some very hot and humid weather, and a lot of walking, but the program and accommodations were outstanding. Very well organized and a good variety of activities and lectures. A wonderful introduction to this historic and beautiful city.

Dorothea JOANNE Oberacker from Nashville and my sister Christine Rutter from Calif. are flying into Savannah from Atlanta arriving in Savannah about 3:00 PM. We are planning to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. We have found that it is about the same cost as the shuttle
Jean Dobson Sep 07, 2014 at 10:44 AM

I'll be arriving noon(ish) - will see you at the hotel.

We just returned from this trip & loved it! The history of the area is fascinating;! And my husband & I both loved the cooking class w/ Chef Darin! Found the people of Savannah to be very warm and friendly.

Hi Theresa,

Hi Theresa, Glad that you had a good trip. Looking forward to the cooking class w/Chef Darin. Did your group go to lunch at Mrs Wilkes? That is a DO NOT MISS as far as I am concerned. It the RS does not include it as part of the trip, I will just have to sneek out and go on my one on of the days we are there.
theresa cooper Apr 01, 2014 at 07:21 PM

Mrs. Wilkes wasn't part of the agenda, but several people went on their free time. It's on our list for next time!

P.s. We went to Kevin Barry's Irish Pub on River Street one night - great live music!
