Road Scholar
Program #21079RJ
81 Days | 80 Nights
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Charges onboard the Voyager are in British pounds.
Earlier in the year a British pound was around $1.49. Currently its value has risen to $1.66 (an increase of 11%).

Enrolled for Semester 2, I am looking forward to joining the group on Feb. 4.

Thanks to Nancy's Christmas tune, I was able to log into this website. RS has deactivated it, so discussions are now available only to persons enrolled.

See you in February

Nancy Hendricks Dec 20, 2013 at 08:09 AM

5 charging cords......

4 credentials and visa, 3 phones and cameras, 2 walking sticks... AND a heart full of excitement and cheer!!!!

Well done! See you in San Francisco!

David Maiman Dec 13, 2013 at 02:05 PM

Just arrived! A mailing from the boat company. Everything seems in order, guess we're really going.... David

I noticed a subtle difference between the cruise line brochure and the Road Scholar info packet: there is always a casual dining venue for dinner. I called the cruise line and confirmed. Good news if you'd prefer not to pack dressy clothes. I'll bring a sport jacket and a few decent shirts, but not sure about anything dessier.
David Maiman Dec 19, 2013 at 10:08 AM

Nothing dressy for me, I'm eating with the crew....

Theda Ellis Dec 13, 2013 at 10:52 AM

We are going to spend a day in San Francisco before the trip, both for any weather issues and just so we won't be flying across country and to Asia all at once. Will anyone else be in San Francisco for New Year's Eve?
David Maiman Dec 13, 2013 at 11:28 AM

We,too, are going to SF early to avoid weather issues. We will be staying in SF at the Majestic 12/30 & 31, & will be seeing friends while there those 2 days. Ginger.
Theda Ellis Dec 13, 2013 at 01:52 PM

Then we'll see you at the airport. Have a great 2 days with your friends. Theda

Laura Rothkopf Dec 13, 2013 at 09:44 AM

I hope to check my luggage thru to Cathay Pacific in Philly. Have a good trip. It will be an adventure for sure.

David Maiman Dec 13, 2013 at 08:32 AM

Well, it might be a little suspicious for BOTH David & me to be needing canes???!!! Ginger
