Was this a good trip and did you learn valuable cooking tips? Were the meals good? I already read the hotel not that great but more interested in the food.

I am interested in hearing from recent participants in the Julia Child's Santa Barbara, California program. I am concerned about the condition of the hotel- the Days Inn on State Street. Please tell me your impression of the hotel and the conditions of the hotel when you wee there. Thank you very much. I want to go on trip but have heard that the hotel is in very poor condition, dirty etc. What did you experience? Thank you very much.

I am worried about the hotel too, did not get a good review on Trip Advisor. Was hoping one of the reviewers from a past tour would give us some insight.

We now have two options on 2013 dates (opening soon). The hotel we use now is clean and comfortable and features a pool, and we will also have a higher-end hotel for some dates with a higher price. The higher-priced property does not have a pool but it has ‘historic charm’. Both hotels are in great locations on State St. Santa Barbara is an expensive area, and to be in a central location at a reasonable rate is important to our participants.
