Read today on the ECCO webpage that Hume Lake has been evacuated. I have no idea how close this is to Yosemite. Anybody else know?
Clifford Logan Oct 04, 2015 at 03:03 PM

55 miles southeast of ECCO

Thanks, Clifford. I talked to the associate at ECCO and she told me the fire is not that close to them plus it is now 85% contained. They haven't even smelled smoke for over a week. I think we will be okay. Also the road that was closed is not the one we take from Fresno. Rt. 41 is not closed.

Hi. I'm attending 'Seasons of Magic/Yosemite' Oct. 25-30, and I'd love to share car rental or a cab with a fellow scholar. I arrive at Fresno airport from StL 11:38 a Oct. 25; depart on Oct 30 4:15 p. Please post if this is a possibility for you; we can talk in more detail FB or e-mail. Thanks.

I'd love to share. lizsnead@gmail.com My flight gets in at noon. My departure
Elizabeth Snead Sep 03, 2015 at 10:46 AM

Departure time doesn't match yours. I depart at 12:30 so will have to leave early.
Kathleen Ann Kurz Oct 12, 2015 at 05:42 PM

Martha - My daughter and I will be arriving around noon on Sunday. We are staying over at a motel near the airport so anytime Friday is good to return for us. Do you still want to share taxi, rental.

What happens if fires prevent us from traveling from Fresno to the hotel site?

Richard Smith Aug 27, 2015 at 11:46 PM

Are forest fires a concern in the month of August?

I am joining the August 23rd Yosemite program. Anyone else going? Getting into Fresno airport around 11:30 a.m.

would love to speak with you about single travel - why don't you send me your email address and we can chat?

Georgianna Thomas Sep 20, 2014 at 12:18 PM

I am going on my first road scholar trip to yosemite tomorrow. I am going alone. I will be happy to let you know how it went!
dorothy timm Oct 12, 2014 at 09:57 PM

Georgianna, please let me know how going alone is. I've never posted before or gotten the courage to go on any trip, but so many look interesting, especially this one. I just need the courage to do it alone.
