EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Anyone going on the September trip?

Diane Pisch Nov 22, 2014 at 06:52 AM

I am looking forward to this ranch/riding experience and meeting other horse lovers! I am flying from Raleigh, NC, to Tucson....anybody else flying my route?
Carol Nov 22, 2014 at 04:29 PM

Hi Diane, I am coming from Norfolk, VA. I should have bought my ticket a while ago. I can't seem to find a reasonable priced ticket to Tucson that gets me there before 8:30 at night Sunday. What about you?
Diane Pisch Nov 22, 2014 at 06:06 PM

Hi Carol, I booked my flight on SoWest Air a few weeks ago while the fares were ok....I got lucky because they rose about $160 ea way right after that. Have you ridden before as I have?
Carol Nov 22, 2014 at 10:17 PM

Yes, I ride English.
Carol Nov 22, 2014 at 10:19 PM

I have no clue how to tack up with western gear. That's why I am so excited to try something different.
Diane Pisch Nov 23, 2014 at 05:35 AM

I have ridden English (decades ago) but felt Western was more comfortable, natural for me....it took me a long time, though, to stop posting in a trot!!

Diane Pisch Oct 08, 2014 at 06:47 AM

Thanks for your response, Bo. I will be signing up for a week in Feb and pack my boots !

Diane Pisch Oct 06, 2014 at 04:21 PM

I would like to attend this program Feb 2015, but I share Carol's question of Jul 24, 2014....I too have riding experience and do not want to be bored. Anyone have any thoughts, info, or advice?
Bo Renneckendorf Oct 06, 2014 at 04:29 PM

We can as non-riders last year (see below). But others in our RS group were very skilled and accomplished. The ranch offered them high end rides and / or lessons. They seemed quite satisfied!
Carol Oct 08, 2014 at 06:38 AM

Thank you Bo for the information.
Carol Nov 05, 2014 at 01:43 PM

Another question Bo, would you recommend staying in Tucson an extra day to look around?
Bo Renneckendorf Nov 05, 2014 at 01:52 PM

We stayed in Scottsdale for a few days beforehand and then took a shuttle to the ranch drop off spot. Scottsdale was wonderful ( we had been to Tuscon before).

Carol Jul 24, 2014 at 02:15 PM

I have a friend who comes here every year but not with RS. I would be interested to hear how the RS program is. Is there enough challenge for someone with riding experience?

Bo Renneckendorf Jan 14, 2014 at 12:04 PM

This old out-of-shape city boy is prepared to make a fool out of himself ... and have some fun. My farm-raised wife will probably adapt better. We are looking forward to the adventure and getting away from our snow in Feb.

Jean Crowley Oct 11, 2013 at 09:37 AM

Would like to hear from anyone that has done this program. I am enrolled for the 2/2/2014 program and if I will need riding boots. Also, about how cold it normally gets.

Sandra Soares Apr 16, 2013 at 09:51 AM

I have done several programs but am interested in doing this one in October, I have never ridden horses before but wonder if anyone else has done this program your thoughts please Sandra
