My traveling companion and I are signed up for the March 5th, 2016 trip. We've not been to the Southwest and are eagerly anticipating our trip. This will be my 4th RS trip and they have all been great. We are coming from Utah. Anyone else coming from our area?

I now live in Ct but lived in MD for over 18 years. I am going on the same NM trip as you are. Please contact me if you want to communicate further.

Anyone signed up for the Oct. 11-18 trip? Anyone from Maryland?
Ilene Zapol Aug 28, 2015 at 08:38 AM

I'm from Delaware, so that's right next door

The hotel in Albuquerque (MCM Elegante) has some very bad reviews online - poor maintenance, bedbugs, filthy rooms. I'm kind of upset about this. Can anyone tell me about their experiences at this hotel?

We stayed there with RS in May. Rooms were comfortable and clean. No one in the group mentioned any problems with their rooms. The food was very good.

When we were there in March, the hotel was undergoing renovation. We weren’t happy with the management which didn’t seem to be prepared for our group, but the rooms were all clean and comfortable. We’ll be staying there again on our next R.S. tour and have no qualms about it.

We're taking the Northern New Mexico trip July 26 - Aug. 2.
Any suggestions that would help our trip go smoothly?

It will be dry but quite warm in late July.

My wife and I took the tour in April; at least you won't have to be prepared for snow. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

My wife, Laura, and I are taking our first Road Scholar tour next week. Does any "experienced" traveler have any suggestions?
Joseph Kluepfel Apr 07, 2015 at 09:21 AM

Road Scholar gives you the opportunity to learn about many interesting topics and meet people who are well educated, friendly and avid students. Some sites are great, some not so great I have a motto....Be flexible and you won't get bent out of shape!

Joyce Davies Mar 22, 2015 at 04:41 PM

I will making my first trip via Road Scholar's in May. Are there any other travlers from the Columbus Ohio area making this trip to Albuquerque?
