See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Hi Virginia, So sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I would like to share emails to become better acquainted. Please email me at: Lynnae518@gmail.com. Thanks!

Virginia Hawkins Jun 12, 2013 at 07:23 AM

Hi Lynnae -
Thanks for your response! I also am at a sort of crossroads. So, I relate to this time of life being a time of transitions. I am looking forward to the NM trip very much and had visited Costa Rica about 4-5 years ago for 5 days with my school. Haven't traveled much other than that in recent times. If you would like to share emails, I can provide mine. Just let me know!
Virginia

Hi Virginia! So happy you responded! This will be my 2nd Road Scholar adventure. I traveled w/RS to Costa Rica in Spring 2012. Fabulous! I am in a Major Life & Career Transition Phase...looking forward to my New Mexico adventure!

Hi Lynnae -
Thanks for writing. I am going on this trip 9/8-9/15. Haven't gone away on vacation for a few years. Really looking forward to this trip. I am retiring from my full-time job as a teacher. How about you?

Take a cab over to Old Town, Linda. Lots of shops, places to eat, along with the ambience of New Mexico. I wish I had had more time to spend there.
Linda Agerbak May 13, 2013 at 09:04 PM

Sounds good. Thanks, Jean. I might take my watercolors too and sit at a cafe.

I'll be attending the October 20 trip & arriving a day early due to flight constraints. Any tips for spending a free day in Albuquerque?

Linda Agerbak May 08, 2013 at 04:18 PM

Retiring to this neck of the woods, or whether it might be too small-towny. I did a painting course in Santa Fe a few years ago and loved the town. Quite cosmopolitan and arty due to lots of in-comers. But snowy in winter. And plane connections to Santa Fe suck.
Dr Michael Len May 11, 2013 at 05:46 PM

Sat May 11 '13. Very kind of you to inform me, Linda. The snowy part is scary. Do not need more chills. And it is good that this trip begins in Albu.... Looking forward to this, to lay aside any "fantasies" re retiring to this neck.of.the.woods. Cheers for your kindness, Michael,!,!,!,!,,
