ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Your Group Leader will assist you with changing money on the first or second full day of the program.

Airports and train stations will have a bank or change bureau where you can exchange American or Canadian dollars for the local currency. You will always get a better exchange rate at a bank or post office than at a shop or restaurant, so try to anticipate how much money you will need and change that amount when you are at a bank.

Before leaving home, consult a “currency converter” that can tell you the rates of exchange between the U.S. dollar and local currencies around the world. Search the Internet for “currency converter” to find numerous helpful sites. Many major metropolitan newspapers also publish such information. We are thrilled that you will be joining us!

Thank you. I am looking forward to my trip.

Susan Levy Sep 19, 2014 at 08:13 AM

Where do you exchange money ? I understand that Croatia does not accept Euros or $$. I am on the Oct 18 trip. Also, did the yacht have WiFI ?
Randy Hylkema Sep 19, 2014 at 12:59 PM

Hi Susan: As the group leader says, change your dollars for Kuna in the airport when you arrive in Croatia. And later, there are plenty of ATMs and banks at many of the ports-of-call. Restaurants will take credit cards too. As for WiFi, as I recall, the boat itself does not have wifi, but you can get wifi in many of the ports when you dock at night. It's a great trip, so have fun.
Susan Levy Sep 19, 2014 at 10:10 PM

Thank you Randy.

I leave for Croatia from Chicago on Oct. 2. Am excited as everyone says how beautiful the area is.
Candace McClenahan Sep 18, 2014 at 11:34 PM

Hi Ann,
Candace McClenahan Sep 18, 2014 at 11:37 PM

I too am leaving for Croatia on Oct. 2, originating in Minneapolis, to Newark, then Munich, then Zagreb to spend 9 days on my own before joining the Oct. 11 trip in Dubrovnik on Oct. 12. Which trip are you on?

Hallie Hackenberger Sep 08, 2014 at 09:56 PM

The more people I tell about my planned trip the more wonderful comments I hear about Croatia from those who have been or know someone who has! Starting to count down the days now...
Susan Levy Sep 08, 2014 at 10:31 PM

When are you traveling ? I am on the Oct 18 trip. I have also heard wonderful comments
Hallie Hackenberger Sep 09, 2014 at 04:32 PM

My tour begins 10/12.
Candace McClenahan Sep 18, 2014 at 11:37 PM

Looking forward to meeting you…I am joining the group at the airport on Oct. 12 after traveling on my own Oct. 2-11. When are you arriving in Croatia?

Wayne Ruhl Aug 06, 2014 at 04:57 PM

When are cabin assignments made?
Ruthe Berman Aug 06, 2014 at 08:22 PM

We received our cabin assignments when we boarded the ship. I had requested a specific cabin beforehand (on the deck we had chosen) and that was the one I got. We took this trip in May and it was wonderful! Enjoy!
Hallie Hackenberger Sep 08, 2014 at 09:52 PM

Ruth, what cabin did you want and why? I asked for an upper cabin but would not know which in particular.
Ruthe Berman Sep 09, 2014 at 04:29 PM

I don't remember our cabin number, but it was opposite the gang plank (mid-ship). With the yacht having three levels, the cabins were located below the center deck and on the center deck, with the upper deck having the restaurant area, bridge, etc. We thought being in the center of the deck might make for a smoother ride if we ran into rough weather.

Wayne Ruhl Aug 04, 2014 at 05:03 PM
