My husband and I are doing to 9/6-9/12 trip it is my first RS my husband has done many others. We picked this trip so that we both could do the miles etc that suit us both. I am really looking forward to this RS trip. Looking forward for meeting a lot of nice folks as well. Shelly Pincus

We hats the best way to train for the hikes if one lives at sea level?

Linda Foreman Jul 26, 2015 at 09:12 PM

Re 8/2/2015 trip: yes. Looking forward to it. Trying to get in shape to do some of those fabulous hikes in Banff and Yoho.

Anyone going on the 8/2/2015 trip?

Jane Engle Jul 21, 2015 at 05:21 PM

Anyone on the 9/6-9/12 program? I'm curious what clothes you are bringing. Also the amount and kind of training you are doing. I'm hiking weekly, usually 8 miles with 1500-2000 elevation change.
Jackie Ross Jul 29, 2015 at 07:13 PM

Hi jane. My name is jackie and I am traveling as a solo on those date. Just starting to figure out what to bring and practicing taking longer hikes...no elevation here though

Big important question--what are women bringing for evening wear shoes?
Helena Goldstein Jul 17, 2015 at 10:08 AM

Probably one pair of sneakers, one pair of flats. I usually wear jeans to dinner.
Janet Zinn Jul 17, 2015 at 12:47 PM

Thanks, Helena

Linda, this is a great trip. There are several options of hiking levels each day so you can select what you are comfortable with. I have done many RS trips by myself and it is no problem. I personally prefer a single room but of course, you can pair up. Look forward to having a great time!
