Light packing for me means much mixing and hopefully matching. We are two friends who met in grade school and are travelling together; now believe the trip is actually happening. We were very concerned with flooding. (Linda Smith & Mary Sutton from Texas)

I double-checked with Amaway cruise lines to make sure what the voltage is on board. It is as I suspected, 220-240 volts with European outlets (2 prong). Just an FYI for those who may have cruised on other lines which provide 110-120 volt outlets.

In packing for this trip, I have noted a Captain's Dinner, but am unclear as to how to dress for it. Given the suggestions for "light packing" for this trip, I am wondering what others are planning to wear for this occasion. Thanks!

We are the McClures and are presently with family near Frankfurt. We are watching news regarding the terrible flooding. The Danube is closed for all shipping. Is there an alternate plan for our trip?

Andrea Sanders Jun 05, 2013 at 09:26 AM

Has anyone heard whether AMA will be able to give us the cruise we paid for due to flooding?

Annette Levine May 19, 2013 at 02:08 PM

We are also booked on the Danube trip and will be at the hotel a day early. Annette and Arnie from North Carolina.

I am enjoying reading the recommended book, 'A Time of Gifts', on my iPhone. The print in the book is too small for me.
Dorothy Dunn May 19, 2013 at 07:14 PM

We are from Oakland, California.
James Krikau Jul 11, 2013 at 09:31 AM

James Krikau May 13, 2013 at 10:41 AM

Great! Paula and I are from Michigan. We're planning on leaving a day early to "recover" a bit from the jet lag, so to speak.
Dorothy Dunn May 13, 2013 at 02:36 PM

We are going 2 days early so i can catch up on my sleep. We are going to be away from our computer for a few days and will get back to you late.

James Krikau May 02, 2013 at 10:21 AM

Looking forward to this program. Anyone else out there taking this trip and make an acquaintance?
Dorothy Dunn May 12, 2013 at 04:07 PM

We are also booked on this trip and looking..steve and taya from California
