I'm from the Boston area, going solo on the Oct. 25th program. This is my first Road Scholar trip and I am happily anticipating the adventure. Any other solos with advice, comments etc.?

Hope to meet other possible singles on the October 4th 2015 here. Please write if your going solo,
Bonnie Breda Apr 11, 2015 at 02:51 PM

You are going to love this trip. I did it last year with a friend. We arrived a day early and went on the Movie Tour of the area. It is only about a 4 block walk to the where all the buses are located. As it turned out, we were the only two on the tour, so we got a very personal tour. The hotel is in a great location. Hope you will get out and do a little exploring on your own. We did have one lady that was solo on our trip and everyone was very friendly with her. Hope you have a wonderful trip. My friend went from a week in Savannah to another RS trip in Chicago. That was another amazing tour. HAVE FUN!!!

James Krikau Mar 08, 2015 at 02:03 PM

I have noted that the hotel allows smoking. Does this mean that we c0uld wind up with a hotel room that has had smokers?????????
Diana Thompson Mar 08, 2015 at 02:18 PM

Ask for a non smoking room.

Diana Thompson Mar 08, 2015 at 02:15 PM

boat ride down on the river, museum across from the hotel, dine at some great restaurants. Hour drive to Hilton Head, tour the fort.
