Interested in connecting w/others on the Oct 5 tour. I'm traveling from Orlando.

has anyone used RS air program? Your experiences?
Charles Routh Aug 02, 2014 at 01:31 PM

We have used RS air program, with good experiences. They are helpful and knowledgeable. We tend to use on line booking ourselves for domestic flights. For international flights we prepare for talking to RS by checking about flights and costs. We then find out if there is free RS bus transportation to the airport for people who book using RS. Then we call RS. We have found that the costs by RS are as good as we could get on line and frequently RS could get better connections or suggestions for times or airlines. We also check Seat Guru for the seats we want.

I'm leaving May 9th from SFO and am interested in hearing from any participants who also are leaving same date from SFO

I would like to get to know other participants before the program begins. we are on the 5/9 trip and will be in Paris from 5/5 until we meet up with the group on the connecting flight to Bordeaux.

Hi! Interested in connecting with others taking the June 19-July 1 trip. Departing from Boston.
Jean Bleyle May 09, 2014 at 02:54 PM

I am leaving from Boston on June 11 from Boston to France and plan to join the group on July 20 for the trip.

Hi all. Three bridge playing couples from Ohio are taking this trip September 16 - 28, 2014. We are all bridge players and would welcome the opportunity to play with others during the trip. Let us know.

What other trips would connect with this. Am interested in lazy barge trip thru Burgundy. Can do on own since I speak French.

Have traveled in other French wine regions, but am looking forward to becoming much more knowledgeable about Bordeaux wines. Interested in connecting with others on the May 29 trip/cruise.

My choice is the June 23 departure. I'd love to hear from others leaving from Atlanta.

We are scheduled for the Oct 19-31, 2013, tour. The agenda schedules a visit to the Sarlat Market on Tuesday, but reviews on TripAdvisor say the market is open on Wednesday and Saturdays. Clarification from anyone who has already gone on this tour?
Linda Dinan Jun 19, 2013 at 05:25 PM

Jenny: We ran into a similar issue on our trip last year. The itinerary listed a market visit on Sunday. As you note, the markets are on Wednesday and Saturday, which we learned from the web and guidebooks quite easily. In our case, our leader made several changes to the itinerary for the Dordogne portion of the trip at our first dinner together. At the end of the day, we did everything on the itinerary, but with a number of changes as to which day these occurred. If you're interested, I did a blog during this trip, which you can find at dinansontheroad.blogspot.com -- look for the dates of May 30 to June 10.
Jenny Redfern Jun 23, 2013 at 01:48 AM

Thanks, Linda. Your blog is very good and I'm now looking forward to the tour even more. About your "wee-fee" problems - I took an iPhone and iPad to Paris last September, and ended up paying more than expected for a France-specific pocket hot-spot to give me reliable wifi connectivity a few days at a time. Will probably have to do the same again this year.
