Just signed up for the July 23, 2015 trip. Would love to connect with those going or who have been. What weather can we expect?
Ed Zawacki Jul 01, 2014 at 01:35 PM

I was on the June 5 -7 trip. It was great andfar exceeded my expectations. We basically had very good weather no rain. Lima seemed like a broken forcast to and cloudy. No sun in Lima. I the North warmer and sun. Cusco and the Sacred Valley get very cold at night and mornings ut warm up (wear layers).

We have read several Trip Advisor reviews on the hotels we'll be staying at and are a bit concerned about the noise levels described, particularly at the first three. Did anyone have issues with this on their trips?
Shelley Molnar Feb 08, 2014 at 10:02 AM

We took this trip in 2009. The Miraflores hotel is different from the one we stayed in, but the other two are the same. They were both wonderful. The one in Chiclayo has a lovely outdoor bar, and the Trujillo one is right on the square. I don't recall either being particularly noisy. It was a fantastic trip. if you get Victor as your guide, please tell him Shelley sends her best wishes.
Sharon H Feb 08, 2014 at 10:35 AM

Thanks. Victor is scheduled to be our guide, and I will pass on your best wishes.

We got lost during our Cusco free time and had to flag down a cab to get us back to the hotel in time for our next excursion. Fortunately we were less than a mile from the hotel -- and didn't know it. Trying to walk fast in Cusco is difficult.

Florence Rigby Feb 04, 2014 at 04:26 PM

I am going on this program in March 2014. We will have a Sunday afternoon in Cusco at leisure. Any suggestions about your favorite places to visit in Cusco?
Wesley Clark Feb 04, 2014 at 08:00 PM

Some of us went to the Pre-Colombian Art Museum and others went to the town square and still others couldn't resist even more shopping.
