I have not made my flights yet, coming in on the 6th staying at the Atlantica,was waiting to be sure the program was a go, but I guess it is. Hard to believe there is no shared shuttle service in Halifax, seems to be common in Canada, had same issue out in Vancouver. The taxi fare is really steep, fortunately I am traveling with friends so we can split it. Wish the program coordinator could negotiate a discount from some company. Not sure how practical a bus will be with luggage, although since this is an airport route they must have room for them. I am doing a Road Scholar program out in N Calif next month, when I get back at the end of June I can focus on this one.

Hi Jean, My Delta flt. to Halifax is leaving LaGuardia at 11:45, so I guess I'll miss you all there. Too bad. See you in Halifax.

There are 4 of us from Georgia leaving LaGuardia for an early evening arrival in Halifax, 2 arriving at noon and 2 arriviing at 3 At this point the plans are to use public tansportation from the airport into town and then either take a taxi to the hotel or change buses. I guess it will depend on how easily I am handling the suitcase!

I wasn't too clear on that above --8 people in all arriving in Halifax at different times but going through Laguardia. Will be on the lookout for Road Scholar identification in case there is anybody on our flight.
