See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

PS Years ago I found these great maps, very detailed and laminated. I've ordered them for our three cities. If you are interested here is a link.http://www.streetwisemaps.com/index.html

I'm on Delta from San Fran to NY on 9/21, leaving that night on Alitalia to Rome. Arrive Rome 8:35 a.m.9/22.Will anyone else be on any of these legs or at the Rome airport at that time? Would really like to make sure others will be in Rome at that time. Thanks

Nancy & Ray Brady, Jr Aug 11, 2014 at 06:10 PM

We are traveling on this trip leaving Seattle on September 21 to Rome via JFK on Delta flights DL418 and DL444. Is anyone else flying on this leg?

Joyce Siegel Jul 30, 2014 at 05:02 PM

So, I'm signed up as a single on the Oct 8-21 trip. Anyone else out there? Seems like I'm a little early for any discussion regarding this trip. Let me know if I have a kindred spirit out there. I'm so excited!!
Annette Bittaker Aug 10, 2014 at 09:18 AM

I am a solo participant on the Sept. 9 trip. I will be flying from Atlanta to Detriat
Annette Bittaker Aug 10, 2014 at 09:23 AM

Susan Eissinger Aug 10, 2014 at 10:27 AM

Hi, Annette. I'll see you in Rome. I'm flying out of Phoenix. :)
Linda Chapman Aug 10, 2014 at 11:29 AM

And I'm flying out if Seattle. We'll just have to meet up in Rome, I guess. What are your arrival times?
Annette Bittaker Aug 10, 2014 at 01:10 PM

Linda, I continue to ahve truble posting with this medium. I arrive in Rome 8:45 AM Sept. 10. will be a long wait for hotel rooms that afternoon. Perhaps I can find a bridge to sleep under as I can't sleep on planes. annette-(bittaker@windstream.net) BTW have a very good freind in Seattle who will be visiting this fall. We are both bird watchers so it should be intereting.
Susan Eissinger Aug 10, 2014 at 04:49 PM

My arrival time is 8:30 a.m.
Annette Bittaker Aug 10, 2014 at 06:11 PM

I am sue we will be picked up by the same shuttle. We can share that space under a bridge for a nap
Linda Chapman Aug 10, 2014 at 11:03 PM

Don't know if you receivedmy note, but I come in at 12:40. If I can find the two of you under that bridge we can go find a cappuccino - or glass of wine - whichever seems most appropriate at the time :D
Susan Eissinger Aug 11, 2014 at 09:09 AM

Either one sounds great to me!
Annette Bittaker Aug 11, 2014 at 11:55 AM

I'll drink to that!

Hi All, I'm a solo travel enrolled in the 9/21 trip and looking forward to meeting you all.I took a six week OLLI class on Venice last fall. I'm leaving out of the San Francisco Bay Area and when returning will be stopping Chicago, my home town. It's my first Road Scholar trip so I'm open to suggestions/ideas.

Hello everyone. My spouse Bonnie Williams and I will be attending the Sept 17-30 program and we are both looking forward to this trip and meeting all of you.
Patricia Ley Aug 08, 2014 at 06:38 PM

I will be traveling on my own for those dates. See you 2 there. This is my second trip with Road Scholar. From Chicago, now live in Florida.
Nancy Seaberg Aug 08, 2014 at 10:32 PM

We are excited to meet you! We leave from Minneapolis, and live in northern Minnesota area. This is our first trip with Road Scholar. See you soon!

Linda Chapman Jun 12, 2014 at 02:00 PM

Is anyone on the September 9 trip considering staying a few extra days afterwards? It seems such a shame not to spend a bit more time in the Tuscany/Florence area :-)
