I will arrive at the hotel one day early, on Dec. 20, and i would love to meet all the other participants that arrive early also.

Is there a point at which comments from previous years drop off the Discussion Board? Most of these posts are years old.

Is there anyone from NYC attending this program in Quebec. Also I would like to hear suggestions about clothing.

I am so looking forward to this! It sounds enchanting. This is the year for my children and grandchildren to be with the other in-laws for Christmas, and I am excited at the thought of sharing this adventure with some new friends.

I am looking forward to this also! Have you been to Quebec before? I am thinking of arriving a couple of days early.

I see that our hotel, Manoir Victoria is in the center of old town Quebec, and close to a lot of places to explore/see. I have made reservations for two days prior, and was wondering if anyone else was planning to arrive early. Perhaps we could meet up. Also I requested to be paired with a roommate for the tour--if anyone is also requesting a roommate maybe we could get acquainted beforehand and see if we would be compatible.

I am coming from the San Francisco Bay Area so am not familiar with that kind of cold; however I understand temperatures probably in the 10's and 20's--am bringing heavy coat and boots with good traction soles, hats mittens, etc. Should be something different and exciting for us!
Ina Woolman Oct 22, 2015 at 08:37 PM

I'd like to suggest paying special attention to really warm mittens, scarves, headbands and/or hats - if your head, neck and hands are warm, it helps! Also, small hand warmer envelopes to keep in your pockets ...
