Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Rick Steves has been travelling through Egypt, Israel and Palestine, posting on his blog on a regular basis. Some very interesting comments on rhe situation there. Said he saw no American tourists but a number of tourists from other countries. See (blog.ricksteves.com)

I did forget to mention that I'm on the Delta flight.

Is anyone leaving from JFK? If so, and you want to make contact, look for the red Road Scholar tag on my baggage in the waiting area after 7:30.
Jacqueline Labatt-Simon Apr 13, 2013 at 11:38 AM

I am leaving from JFK, but on American. See you in Israel. Doesn't that sound exciting.

Carolyn Mar 30, 2013 at 02:01 PM

Has anyone taken this trip since January 2013 or has it been cancelled each time it was scheduled?

Jacqueline Labatt-Simon Mar 08, 2013 at 08:41 AM

Maybe if we all called and prodded a little they would decide sooner. Tours are going -- they may be waiting to see if they have enough enrolled. I have called, but maybe if we all called they would decide so we could make alternate plans if they are not going.
Charmayne Bischel Mar 08, 2013 at 11:06 AM

The tour is fully booked, so they're not waiting to see if it fills. I imagine they' wait until the last minute to see how stable things are there.
Jacqueline Labatt-Simon Mar 08, 2013 at 11:21 AM

thanks that is reassuring.

It would be nice to know about a cancellation sooner, rather than later. It's hard to get excited about a trip which has a good chance of not happening.

Jacqueline Labatt-Simon Mar 07, 2013 at 07:21 PM

Does anyone have any idea when they will decide whether or not to cancel the trip
Charmayne Bischel Mar 07, 2013 at 07:25 PM

I was signed up for the Feb. trip & we weren't notified until about 1 1/2 weeks prior.
