My wife and I (Susan and Russell Pope) will be traveling to Nicaragua on the 5th of February and continuing to Costa Rica at the conclusion of that program. Would be interested in hearing from fellow passengers.

Sharon M Jan 16, 2016 at 11:19 AM

Anyone on the Feb 5-11 trip? Anyone been on this trip recently? If so, how was it?
Russell Pope Jan 27, 2016 at 11:28 PM

My wife and I (Russell and Susan Pope) will see you Mangua. We are unfortunately traveling through Atlanta. We have been on trips to Kenya, Alaska and southern Mexico trips with road scholar and have been very pleased with all. I (Russ) am a bit of a birder, as you will learn, and my wife is my patience assistant (she might say keeper). Looking forward to meeting you!

a bit redundant with the trips part

I'm traveling with a friend, Peggy. We're going through Miami. Looking forward to a break from winter. Not a birder, per se, but can appreciate their beauty and uniqueness. Especially tropical birds. Looking forward to meeting you as well!

To anyone traveling from Miami to Managua on February 19 on American Airlines 1429:
Will you meet us for lunch in Miami Airport before the flight?

Nancy Vendetti Dec 11, 2015 at 08:47 PM

I will be on the January 18th trip. First time in Central America. Just returned from Buenos Aires. There will be quite a contrast. Just started reading G. Bellis's The Country Under My Skin. Enjoyed my first RS trip in CA in Oct. Great group of people. Looking forward to this next adventure. How about you?

Hi - After our trip I'm volunteering for a month at a program that works with primary school children in poor areas of Granada. They have suggestions for items to donate. If you might like to bring something (I would gladly carry thruout our trip), please check:
muchas gracias, Naomi

I'm interested in who else is going on the Oct 1st trip - are you out there?
Jennifer Ashby Aug 13, 2015 at 11:04 PM

My husband,my single girlfriend and I are going and staying on for 5 days. The program is too short not to extend it.We plan to stay a night longer in Granada and then rent a car and drive to the coast south of San Juan del Sur. jenny A.

Are you discussing the program starting 18 Feb, 2014. My wife and I are joining it. If so, when do you arrive in Managua. We arrive Feb 18 at 12.50 pm

What were you there for? I'm looking forward to my first time there.
