See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Hello fellow Prague travelers. I am getting ready for the Prague trip September 13-21. This is my first RS trip but I have been to Europe many times connected with my professional responsibilities (but never to Prague). I would be interested in a side trip to Terezin --especially after reading Madeline Albright's Prague Winter. Anyone else want to do that during our free time?
Nina Kirkpatrick Aug 24, 2014 at 07:32 PM

I was on the independent Prague program last Nov. I was excellent. I definitely recommend that you go to Terezin. In our group, there were enough people who wanted to go that our tour guide for the first two days took us on a bus. It was not that expensive and the hotel prepared box lunches for us. I do think that this was and important part of our trip.
Barbara Swec Aug 25, 2014 at 10:33 AM

My husband, Len, and I would be interested in joining you, Virginia, for a trip to Terezin. This is our first RS trip too, and we're quite excited.

I'll collect the list and we'll check in in Prague

Don Gervich Jun 02, 2014 at 02:37 PM

hello Czech travelers.
My wife Cory and I are getting jazzed for the June Prague adventure.
We live near Boston...
This is our first time with Road Scholar, though we had 3 excellent trips with Overseas Adventure Travel.
Cory is a nurse practitioner; I teach writing at a small college and an adult education program.
We are getting older, ouch, but don't want to retire--from work, people, or challenge.
We are eager to meet each of you, and explore together.
Don

For those of you who haven’t yet ordered tickets to the cultural events – In case you’re looking for someone to join you at some events – I’m traveling solo and have ordered tickets for myself for the following: Prague Symphony Orchestra at Municipal House on April 6, National Marionette Theatre on April 7; Ta Fantastika black theatre on April 9, and the Jazz Boat on April 10. Anyone interested?
Belva Locker Apr 03, 2014 at 04:23 PM

Maybe. I'm also traveling solo. Looking forward to meeting you and all.

I took part in the October Prague trip and had a wonderful time. One of our lecturers arranged a day trip to Terezin, which was really interesting and moving. Several of the other participants went to Cesky Krumlov and enjoyed that very much as well. I don't think you could go wrong with either outing although I really enjoyed having an afternoon or two free just to wander around Prague. What a beautiful city! And it's hard to imagine a better host than Tomas.
Judith Hayes Mar 26, 2014 at 01:31 PM

Sounds great. I've added 3 days after the end of the Road Scholar program, so am also hoping to have some wandering time.
