Had been on the Wait List for May 15 tickets for Nabucco at the Vienna Opera on May 14. They just cleared at Euro 199 each. Fine seats but not together. The website now shows that Category F tickets are available for order at Euro 102 online. All others Sold Out http://www.viennaconcerts.com/eventinfo/Vienna-State-Opera-NABUCCO-14-May-2015/32112

My wife and I are getting very excited about celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary with the October 9, 2015 Great Composers trip. Any of our fellow travelers out there?

Marlene Feb 14, 2015 at 11:47 PM

Just booked this for the 15 May departure. Will be spending a few days in Salzburg prior to joining the tour. Plan to arrive in Vienna 15 May. Looking forward to meeting you all. Also looking at opportunities to attend performances not included in the tour.

My husband and I are also participating in the May 15 program (from CA). Any advice about obtaining tickets to the State Opera in Vienna? The packet suggests finding ticket resellers but, so far, no luck.

Hello Bethany
Marlene Feb 28, 2015 at 12:37 AM

I will be arriving in Vienna on 15 May. I was able to acquire a ticket for Mozart's "Requiem" at the Karlskirche (St. Charles Chuch) the evening of of 05/18 and am in the que for a ticket for Nabucco on 05/18. I was able to book a number of performances in many venues in the cities we will be visiting. Please contact me directly if I can be of assistance - schmidge@comcast.net

My wife and I will be participating in the May 15 program. Anyone else yet signed up? We live in New York.

I'm also enrolled in the May 15 tour; leaving this evening from JFK. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

We will be in Vienna for two nights before the program starts. In checking for tickets at the State Opera, I see that they go on sale to the public just two months before the needed date. Earlier purchases are for subscriptions.

Marilyn: My email is janetmstevens@cogeco.ca I sent a reply to you via this site but not sure if I did it correctly.
Janet Stevens Jan 15, 2015 at 01:36 PM

ok I see it did not post. I have been on 4 Roads trips. Chicago, New York, and The Spanish Art trip to Madrid and Barcelona last March (14) I wanted to get tickets to an opera or a concert in Vienna but no having any luck so far. I am going to Vienna for 4 nights ahead to visit galleries, museums etc and to get over Jet Lag. Janet

Janet-great that you will be in Vienna for four extra days. FYI, I was able to purchases very good ticket to see Eugene Oneginat the Vienna State Opera on April 28. I purchased through the culturall site. The site tells you tickets will not be formally assigned until two months before the performance date, but I placed my order last week and already have my official booking code with my seat assignment--and my credit card has been charged. (I will pick up the ticket at the opera house the night of the performance by giving the box office staff the booking code receipt. I have also requested tickets for the Bavarian State Opera. These will be allocated approximately three months before the performance date.
