We are going on the 7/26 trip. Looking forward to it. Do you suggest packing swimsuits? We live in southern New Jersey, but are flying out of JFK. Anyone else doing the same?

We are from southern Illinois, but are flying out of St. Louis through Detroit and Amsterdam.

I am enrolled for the June/July trip. I'm from Iowa and excited about being in the Scandinavian countries during the longest days of the year!
Phyllis Walt May 13, 2015 at 02:38 PM

This will be my first trip with RS. Have you been on one of their trips before? I'm really looking forward to the trip as well.
Mary Kay Madsen May 13, 2015 at 05:51 PM

This will be my 5th but the rest have all been in the US

Kathleen Mawdsley May 05, 2015 at 09:18 PM

My husband and I have enrolled for the July 26 trip. It will be our first with RS.

Any one from Texas visiting Scandinavia on the June 21, 2015 trip?

Carol Wilder Mar 29, 2015 at 09:52 PM

Is anyone interested in visiting St. Petersburg, Russia at the end of the July 26 trip? It is a 3 and 1/2 hour train trip from Helsinki.

Carol Wilder Mar 29, 2015 at 09:49 PM

I am going on the July trip and would love a roommate. I am a retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer, now living in Ashland, Oregon. I am interested in learning about the Scandinavian cultures and societies which I have always admired from afar. I also want to for once be somewhere where most are as tall or taller than I am. 5'9 and 1/2"!

Hi Carol, I am interested in the 7/26-8/12/2015 tour but have not yet taken the final steps of enrolling. I am waiting for some family matters to settle. I f I decide to come I think we could be good companions. I am a retired professor from the Univ of Hawaii but I worked internationally first in India for 9 years, then in Bangladesh wit WHO and the World Bank. I leave in Honolulu. My all family is in Italy, close to Milan and I would plan to visit them after the tour. I will let you know as soon as I will decide. Gigliola

It is still early, but I am thinking of joining the July program. Would like to know if there is another woman interested in a roommate. Gigliola

For anyone on the trip in 2014, any information about the typical meals would be useful. Thanks.
Palmira Romero Nov 13, 2014 at 10:46 AM

Inspite of being forced to eat Gluten Free foods, I enjoyed all my meals and except for the night cruise from Denmark to Norway I had no problem with the food.
barrie Malloch May 14, 2015 at 11:09 AM

that is good to know as my travelling companion is gluten free as well
