We are arriving at 9:30 p.m. on January 20 for the 1-21 program. Anyone coming in around that time that would like to share a taxi?

Judy Embry Dec 08, 2015 at 12:36 PM

Itinerary says all evenings and 1 full day in CR are free. Any comments from someone who already took this trip?
Jean Sebold Dec 08, 2015 at 01:49 PM

Hi, Judy, we took this trip 2 years ago but in reverse direction (Panama first). After looking at your itinerary, I can see that the trip this time is somewhat different than ours. for instance, We did not go to any beaches in CR: everything was in the mountains. I can't comment on your question about free time because the itinerary is different. The Canal is amazing. The information you will get about the Canal is so very interesting. Have a great trip. You will love it.

We are going on the Feb. 11,2016 trip. Anyone else?
Carolyn Bennett Dec 28, 2015 at 02:28 PM

I am on this trip. I travel solo since my husband died. I am looking for anyone traveling from Atlanta on Delta 900.
Judy Embry Dec 28, 2015 at 02:38 PM

Sorry Carolyn, we will be going through Miami on AA. Because of unknown weathr, we will arrive in Miami on Feb 10 and leave from there on Feb 11 for CR. Look forward to meeting you in CR. Judy and Wallace Embry

We will be on the March 9 to 22 trip. Any need to bring Mask, fins, and snorkel?
Jean Sebold Jan 27, 2015 at 03:00 PM

We did this program in 2014. I don't think there is any place on that trip where I would want to go snorkeling because all of the visited places were inland in the rain forests. The program itinerary does not include any beaches, so I doubt you would have the opportunity to use your snorkeling equipment.

We are going on the 1/16/15 trip. Anyone else signed up for this date?
We are not sure what size suitcase to take. Any ideas from past travelers?
Richard Smith Sep 10, 2014 at 03:38 PM

We each had a carryon roll-on and a good-sized daypack.
Marilyn Saunders Nov 12, 2014 at 10:52 AM

Take a light daypack for your water on hikes. Medium sized suitcase should work, though I checked a carryon sized bag and used small pack. Laundry at Selva Verde good... less expensive than Monte Verde.

Richard Smith Mar 06, 2014 at 04:20 PM

My only regret was not taking a Costa Rica Bird book and my own set of binoculars

Jean Sebold Feb 06, 2014 at 01:04 PM

We're going on the Feb 10 program. Anyone else?

Richard Smith Jan 19, 2014 at 06:04 PM

Margy and I arrive ~10 p.m. Monday. Dick Smith
