Not signed up - just investigating. Looking for a trip with 16 year old granddaughter who loves sun & surf. Confused about airfare/cruise, where do you start.

This program starts and ends in Honolulu, Oahu Hawaii. You need to arrange your own transportation to honolulu or Road scholar has a travel agent who can help you. That cost is in addition to the program cost.

I will be bringing my 10-year-old grandson. Arriving on 11th at 11:30 am if anyone interested in sharing ride to hotel.

As Helen stated the program starts and ends in Honolulu and you arrange your own transportation, etc. I have taken this adventure twice and it really is a fun and educational trip. However, the oldest participate, the first time which was about 5 years ago, was probably about 14 or 15. Last year when I took my 10 year old grandson the oldest was probably about 11. If you decide to take the trip call Elderhostel program to see if anyone your granddaughter's age has signed up. If most participants are much younger she may not have a good time. Don't want to sound negative because it is a good program, just saying age may play a factor for your granddaughter.

I will be bringing my 12-year-old grandson. Who else has signed up?
