Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This has been on my "bucket list" all my life (now 66). Can't wait! Would love to go to the Game also! Gayle Popa (T.C., MI)

Looking forward to Pasadena, and interested in discussing the program. Scheduled for double and checking into sharing. Will arrive 12-28 afternoon from the Windy City!

Paulette, Ron and I are scheduled to arrive 12/28 just after 11 AM. Are you receiving Laura Monteros' FB postings from LA Examiner. Lots of really interesting stuff.

A big suggestion for all "new friends" that we'll be meeting next week....I purchased the hardback book More Than a Parade (Amazon)which is written by Michael Riffey a past Tournament president (the year that John Williams was Grand Marshall and the theme was "Music, Music, Music"). It is a fantastic book which will have you "all ready" for the adventure which we are about to share. I also purchased a great "Guide to the Getty Villa" book. Look forward to meeting everyone soon...we're in Dallas, TX!

Is anyone willing to share a shuttle to the hotel. I come into LAX around 11:15 on Dec. 28th for the Tournament of Roses Program.

Jo Ann Parochetti Dec 04, 2012 at 11:36 AM

Is anyone going to the game on the 1st? It would be nice to get together so we could reserve the Super Shuttle or some other way to return to the hotel.
Gayle Popa Apr 16, 2013 at 09:36 AM

Do you have tickets to the game already?

Kathryn Krebs Nov 29, 2012 at 08:05 PM

Thanks so much for your input

Anyone interested in sharing a shuttle to the hotel? I come in to Lax @ 11:15

Carolyn Fott Nov 29, 2012 at 05:54 PM

Yes, I enjoyed seeing the floats up close; in some ways it was better than viewing them in the parade. Since I enjoy doing photography, I was able to take pictures without including the hands and heads of those who were seated, and at times standing in front of me.
