Evening: 7:30pm: Introductions of coordinator and participants, review of week's programs, logistics, orientation to hotel and city of Cape May.

Day Two: Monday, May 05 - Instruction, Demonstration, Critique
Breakfast: Breakfast buffet in the hotel.

Morning: 9:45am: The group gathers with the instructor, an artist with many years experience teaching and exhibiting her work, for a lesson/demonstration in watercolor technique. Following the lesson, the participants will work independently with one-on-one instruction from the instructor. Depending on the weather, the group will paint on location on the streets around the hotel and/or the beachfront. Still life vignettes will be set up in the classroom and available outside of the class period.

Lunch: 12:30pm: Lunch at hotel.

Afternoon: 1:30pm: The group gathers with the instructor for a lesson/demonstration in watercolor technique. Following the lesson, the participants will work independently with one-on-one instruction from the instructor. Depending on the weather, the group will paint on location around Cape May. In the late afternoon, the group will gather for critique.

Dinner: 6pm: Dinner at hotel.

Evening: 7:30pm: The instructor will show videos illustrating techniques of other artists. Participants may choose to stay afterward and paint in classroom.

Morning: 9:45am: The group will enjoy a Welcome to Cape May Trolley Tour followed by time spent painting on the grounds of the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate. architect Frank Furness and constructed in 1879.

Lunch: 12:30pm: Luncheon is provided at the Carriage House Tearoom and Cafe on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate. Following lunch, the group will shuttle back to the hotel.

Afternoon: 1:30pm: The group gathers with the instructor for a lesson in watercolor technique. Following the lesson, the participants will work independently with one-on-one instruction from the instructor. Depending on the weather, the group will paint on location around Cape May. In the late afternoon the group will gather for critique.

Dinner: Dinner at hotel.

Evening: 7:30pm: A member of the museum staff will present a richly illustrated lecture on Cape May's unparalleled collection of Victorian era buildings, showing the stylistic elments that are hallmarks of the era. The presentation includes images of many of the 600 buildings from the era in the city.

Instructor will provide a lesson/demonstration in watercolor technique. Following the lesson, the participants will work independently with one-on-one instruction from the instructor.

Afternoon: The group gathers with the instructor for a lesson in watercolor technique. Following the lesson, the participants will work independently with one-on-one instruction from the instructor. Depending on the weather, the group will paint on location around Cape May. In the late afternoon the group will gather for critique.

Dinner: 6pm: Dinner in the hotel

Evening: 7:30pm: The group will display the work they have accomplished during the week for group critique.
