ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Day Two: Monday, March 17 - Baseball historian / Ballgame 1
Breakfast: Enjoy a continental breakfast buffet at the resort to include on various days: scrambled eggs, croissant sandwich, sliced fruit, whole grain breads, oatmeal, cereals, coffee/tea, juices, etc

Morning: Throughout this program you will meet wonderful baseball personalities who have intimate and often long histories with the game. We start the program with a presentation from Jerry Kindall, a baseball "lifer" with 56 consecutive years in the game beginning as a College All American, through 8 years as a major league infielder with the Cubs, Indians, and Twins, and 30 years as a college coach including 3 NCAA College World Series Championships. Jerry is a baseball historian who will discuss the history, legends (focus on Rockies), and charm of the game.

Morning: Following our presentation, we will take a short break before we travel as a group to Tempe Diablo Stadium to attend game 1 of the week. Please have all your stuff for the game ready to go prior to the presentation.

Lunch: Lunch on your own at the stadium. All the standard ballpark fare to get you in the mood for the game.

Afternoon: Game 1! Enjoy watching the Giants taking on the California Angels.

Dinner: Dinner back at the Cottonwoods Resort

Evening: Baseball is a game of tradition and one of the ways we hold on to that tradition is by collecting memorabilia. Meet David Sedlmeier, the co-owner of "The Batter's Box", the oldest baseball card shop in the Phx. area (31 years). David is a wealth of information and we will discuss and learn the memorabilia trade and what makes baseball so unique in this field. IF YOU HAVE SOME SPECIAL MEMORABILIA (NOTHING LARGE OR CUMBERSOME TO BRING WITH YOU ON A PLANE), BRING IT WITH YOU TO SHARE WITH DAVID AND THE GROUP DURING CLASS.)
