EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.

Elevation Note
Hotel elevations are 4,500', 4,900', and 4,350'. The highest elevation you'll experience is 7,000'.

Equipment Requirements
Warm waterproof clothing, sturdy hiking boots, a day pack, collapsible walking stick, hat, binoculars and a leak proof water bottle are highly recommended.

Afternoon: Check-in anytime after 4PM. Orientation to begin at 5PM.

Dinner: Dinner at Kandahar Lodge after Orientation.

Day Two: Tuesday, July 02 - Presentation / Gondola / Summit / Hike / Presentation  
Breakfast: Continental breakfast at Kandahar

Morning: This morning we'll be introduced to the Glacier and Waterton program. Next we'll ride aboard the "Glacier Chaser" gondola and chairlift—also known as Big Mountain Express—for a 15-minute scenic ride to the 7000-foot summit.

Lunch: Lunch at the Summit Restaurant

Afternoon: Depending on the weather of the day, we’ll be led on an informative hike either at the summit or the base of the mountain. (All outdoor activity subject to weather)

Dinner: Dinner at Base Lodge via short shuttle provided.

Evening: This evening we'll be treated to a presentation on the fascinating geology of the Crown of the Continent.

Day Three: Wednesday, July 03 - Depart for Many Glacier Hotel via Going-to-the-Sun Road 
Breakfast: Continental breakfast at Kandahar

Morning: This morning after checking-out of Kandahar Lodge, we'll depart for Many Glacier Hotel in a motorcoach by way of the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road. (Going-to-the-Sun Road subject to weather)

Lunch: Sack lunches in the field

Afternoon: Continuation of Going-to-the-Sun Road trip to Many Glacier Hotel with various stops along the way.

Dinner: Dinner at Many Glacier

Evening: Optional evening wildlife viewing. Bring your binoculars as we "glass" the nearby slopes looking for grizzlies, moose, and bighorn sheep.

Day Four: Thursday, July 04 - Discover Glacier National Park's east side at Many Glacier 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Many Glacier

Morning: This morning enjoy a presentation covering more of the amazing ecosystems and historic cultures of Glacier National Park and the surrounding area.

Lunch: Lunch at Many Glacier

Afternoon: This afternoon we'll hit the trails for a scenic hike in Swiftcurrent Valley.

Dinner: Dinner at Many Glacier

Evening: Optional evening wildlife viewing. Bring your binoculars as we "glass" the nearby slopes looking for grizzlies, moose, and bighorn sheep.

Day Five: Friday, July 05 - Depart for Waterton Lakes National Park 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Many Glacier

Morning: After checking-out of Many Glacier Hotel, we'll depart for Waterton Lakes International Peace Park. Remember to have your passports accessible for the US/Canadian border crossing. Next we'll stop at the Remington Carriage Museum in Cardston where we'll see over 240 carriages, wagons and sleighs in the largest collection of horse-drawn vehicles in North America.

Lunch: Sack lunches in the field

Afternoon: This afternoon we'll spend time at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we'll bear witness to an aboriginal hunting practice that was used by native people of the North American plains for almost 6,000 years. This evening we'll check into the stunning Prince of Wales Hotel where we'll enjoy dinner and some free time. Named after the popular Prince Edward of Wales, who later became King Edward VIII, the hotel is a National Historic Site of Canada.

Dinner: Dinner at Prince of Wales

Evening: Optional evening wildlife viewing. Bring your binoculars as we "glass" the nearby slopes looking for wildlife.

Day Six: Saturday, July 06 - International Scenic Boat Cruise 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Prince of Wales

Morning: This morning we'll head to downtown Waterton for an International boat cruise on pristine Waterton Lake. Our cruise will offer some of the most spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, including; majestic towering cliffs, unique geological formations, striking waterfalls, snow covered peaks, and the international border between Canada and the United States.

Lunch: Lunch at Prince of Wales

Afternoon: After lunch, we'll take a walk along Cameron Lake or in Red Rock Canyon.

Dinner: Dinner on-your-own.

Evening: Free evening

Day Seven: Sunday, July 07 - Return to Kandahar Lodge on Big Mountain 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Prince of Wales

Morning: This morning, after checking-out of the Prince of Wales Hotel, have your passports accessible for re-entry into the US. Once through, we'll visit the Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning. Here we'll see a rich diversity of historic arts and creative craftsmanship of the Northern Plains tribal peoples.

Lunch: Sack lunch in the field

Afternoon: En route back to Kandahar Lodge we'll stop and visit the Goat Lick Overlook where exposed rocks along the deep canyon creek seep salts and minerals that attract and nourish the local mountain goats.

Dinner: Final banquet at the Base Lodge via short shuttle provided.

Evening: Closing and conclusion of program.

Day Eight: Monday, July 08 - Independent Departures  
Breakfast: Continental breakfast at Kandahar

Morning: Hotel check-out by 11 AM.
