Dinner:
Dinner is a buffet featuring Island Mussels, seafood chowder and roast beef, as well as kid-tested favorites such as pizza and fries.
Evening:
Adults have PEI overview and introduction while children do ice breaker games. Grandparents and grandchildren will then pair up to enjoy a scavenger hunt to familiarize participants with the resort and conference center.

Day Two: Monday, July 15
- Scrapbooking and Journal Writing/Green Gables National Historic...
Scrapbooking and Journal Writing/Green Gables National Historic Site/LM Montgomery's Cavendish Home/Community "Ceilidh" Gathering
Breakfast:
Morning:
The grandparents will enjoy a lively presentation on Prince Edward Island history while the grandchildren are introduced to "the world of Anne" in a session with a local school teacher. Both groups will join in a session of scrapbooking and journal writing which includes a presentation as well as group participation.
Lunch:
Afternoon:
Grandparents and grandchildren will experience a guided visit to Green Gables National Historic Site. They will learn about the significance of this special place, view a video presentation, tour the house, walk down Lover's Lane and have guided activities in the Haunted Wood. While the grandparents visit the site of LM Montgomery's Cavendish Home, the grandchildren will participate in old-fashioned games and learn to make home-made ice cream, which they will share with their grandparents upon their return to Green Gables.
Dinner:
The meal will consist of barbecued hamburgers and hotdogs and a salad bar and dessert.
Evening:
The group will attend a community "ceilidh", a type of concert or gathering where local musicians and dancers share traditional tunes, songs and humor.

Day Three: Tuesday, July 16

Prince Edward Island National Park beach and pond explorations, tea at the "White Sands Hotel", cooking class for grandchildren
Breakfast:
Morning:
One of the favorite activities enjoyed by grandparents and grandchildren is the felting and weaving session. The presenters/instructors are charming and so well-prepared to work with the group. And the creative results are always a special take-home memento. The rest of the morning will be spent with a Parks Canada naturalist. The group will beach comb, learn about sea life and the ecology of PEI National Park.
Lunch:
The group will enjoy a seaside picnic lunch in Prince Edward Island National Park.
Afternoon:
A Parks Canada naturalist will facilitate the afternoon activities at a barachois pond within the National Park. Then the group will experience the elegance of Dalvay by the Sea (the "White Sands Hotel" from Anne of Green Gables). There will be a special presentation on Dalvay and then the group will enjoy "tea". Then it is off to the beach for an hour of free time at the supervised swim area in PEI National Park.
Dinner:
Grandchildren will help a culinary institute chef prepare the dinner meal for themselves and their grandparents. Recipes and aprons provided for the grandchildren to take home.

The musical "Anne of Green Gables" at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, old fashioned school house visit and activities for grandchildren, presentations on PEI culture and the fishery for grandparents
Breakfast:
Morning:
The grandparents will hear an engaging presentation on Island stories and then visit a local fishery to learn about lobster and mussels. The grandchildren will step back in time to the late 1800's and experience school activities of the that time period at a local one-room school house. The kids will then do some presentations for their grandparents and then both groups will enjoy a picnic lunch at the school house.

Afternoon:
The group will travel to Charlottetown, the capitol of Prince Edward Island. There they will attend the musical "Anne of Green Gables" at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. This show is Canada's longest running musical and is always a highlight for visitors of all ages to Prince Edward Island.

Dinner will be enjoyed at a family style restaurant in Charlottetown.

The group will visit a farm to learn about PEI farming, take a wagon ride and pick strawberries. Then it is off to Charlottetown to enjoy exploring this lovely city.
Lunch:
Lunch in downtown Charlottetown while enjoying a performance by the Confederation Centre Young Company.
Afternoon:
Take a fun, educational and delicious tour of the Cows Creamery where you can watch ice cream and cheese being made (and do some taste-testing!) Following the tour, the group will head back to Stanley Bridge resort and will have another session to complete and share their scrapbooks and journals, along with some free time to enjoy the pool and grounds.
Dinner:
Dinner at Stanley Bridge Country Resort. Optional lobster dinner (for additional cost) is available.
