After dinner there will be an overview of schedule and get acquainted. Park bus will take participants to an informal, local music program.

Note: Should be able to get on & off bus; please let us know beforehand if bus with lift is needed.

Arrive To: Check-in @ Cabins at Dry Creek from 2-4pm.

Afternoon: Light snacks & get aquainted during check-in time; can pick up name badges & folders

Dinner: Dinner @ Skillet Restaurant

Evening: Transportation to one of the local, informal music programs known as Jimmy Driftwoods

Guided walk/program in the Ozark National Forest; a picnic lunch followed by a guided tour of Blanchard Cave; after tour, short walk to Blanchard Springs before Park bus returns to Folk Center; evening program

Note: Should be able to walk 1 mile on forest path/hard top road/board walk; Cave tour is .6 mile on well lit, non skid surfaces w/hand rails on inclines;

Breakfast: Breakfast at the Skillet Restaurant at the Ozark Folk Center

Morning: A guided walk to learn more about Blanchard Spring and the Ozark people who first settled that area

Lunch: A picnic lunch in the Ozark National Forest @ Blanchard

Afternoon: A guided tour of Blanchard Springs Caverns and a self guided tour of Blanchard Springs

Dinner: Dinner @ the Skillet Restaurant @ the Folk Center

Evening: One of two programs, either music & musical instruments or a living history program about the White River

Lodging: Cabins at the Dry Creek

Float the gently flowing White River in a rubber raft with Park staff as guide & paddler; evening program

Note: Should be able to get in and out of a rubber raft

Breakfast: Early morning breakfast @ the Skillet Restaurant

Morning: A staff guided float on the gently flowing White River; snack & water provided

Lunch: A picnic lunch in the pavilion @ the Folk Center

Afternoon: Class varies; could be playparty games or old time square dance; however, if the river is low and the float has taken some time, then we may offer a free afternoon

Dinner: Dinner @ the Skillet Restaurant @ the Ozark Folk Center

Evening: Evening program on some aspect of the Ozarks; may be living history or may be about music & musical instruments

Program on the Folk Center and the Ozarks; first visit to Crafts Village; storytelling program @ noon; musicians give 30 minute concerts, hourly; attend the evening musical in Centers' large auditorium

Note: Craft area is fully accessible and has areas for sitting; shops are air conditioned

Morning: An orientation program about the Folk Center, its inception and other interesting aspects of this unique Arkansas State Park

Morning: First visit to the Craft Village and the artisans of the Folk Center w/break as needed

Lunch: Before lunch, there will be storytelling in the Crafts Village

Afternoon: Another time to visit the Crafts Village

Afternoon: One of a variety of programs highlighting some aspect of the Ozark way of life

Dinner: Once again, we'll be @ the Skillet Restaurant

Evening: First of the Folk Centers' evening musicals in the large auditorium @ the Park

Lodging: Cabins at the Dry Creek

Morning program; noon storytelling in the Crafts Village; visit to Stone County museum; self guided tour of historic buildings in downtown Mountain View; final visit to Crafts Village; evening musical performance

Breakfast: Skillet restaurant @ the Ozark Folk Center

Morning: A talk and a hands-on program about tomahawks & a chance to try your hand at throwing one; with a break afterwards for hot or cold drinks

Lunch: At the full service restaurant, the Skillet

Lunch: Storytelling before the noon meal

Afternoon: A trip to the Stone County Museum

Afternoon: A self-guided tour (w/map provided) of the historic buildings of Mountain View

Dinner: Grilled or fried, Arkansas raised catfish dinner complete with all the trimmings

Evening: Music concert, different from the previous evenings concert, in the large auditorium at the Park

Passionate, living history program; time given to Cabin check-out; short closing remarks, regarding the prior week; light lunch

Breakfast: Breakfast provided by the Skillet Restaurant at the Ozark Folk Center State Park

Morning: After room check-out (10am) a wrap-up of the weeks events (11:15am)
