Day Two: Monday, February 25
- Ski Telluride Mountain, Evening Program
Breakfast:
Continental breakfast with daily hot special items in the Inn's lobby.
Morning:
This program is open to skiing levels from intermediate to advanced, so we’ll begin by sorting participants into smaller groups based on ability and interests. We’ll meet each morning at a designated place planned the evening before. Mountain skiing field trips will be led by experienced guides. You’ll have opportunities to work on particular skills or perfect some of the runs while also absorbing fascinating aspects of natural history. The program offers a genuine mountain skiing experience for all skiers thanks to a mix of quality terrain at all points on the mountain. From refined groomed runs to challenging moguls, there truly is something for everyone in this group.
Lunch:
Vouchers will be provided for restaurants on the mountain. There are multiple dining options, ranging from American comfort food favorites to more extravagant European inspired cuisine, all with spectacular views.
Afternoon:
After getting your “ski legs” this morning, this afternoon you can take on some Telluride favorites. The Plunge (for experts) is a classic run known for its breathtaking views of Telluride, descending 3,140 vertical feet from the top of the mountain down to the town. The popular See Forever (for intermediates) is just over three miles long with panoramic views all the way to Utah's La Sal Mountains. The favorite easier Galloping Goose gently works its way down to Mountain Village.
Dinner:
We'll dine out again this evening to mix and mingle with the local folks.
Evening:
EVENING PROGRAM: We'll hear from a local speaker about topics that may range from geology to mining history of the Telluride area.

Afternoon:
FIELD TRIP: Continue to master skills as we ski throughout the afternoon in one of America’s most beautiful places. Founded in 1878, Telluride prospered through mining until 1953, when the industry collapsed. It was a virtual ghost town for nearly 20 years, resurrected in the 1970s by ski entrepreneurs. Today, all level skiers can ride to the highest peaks and enjoy terrain and views typically reserved for the experts. You'll understand why Telluride has been called "the most beautiful place you'll ever ski."
Dinner:
We'll dine out together at a local restaurant, an opportunity to recall and share highlights of the day.
Evening:
Discover the interesting history of the Telluride area with a local expert.
