Dinner: A special treat awaits you for dinner at Victor's Café in South Philadelphia (the Italian section of Philadelphia) As you dine you’ll be whisked away to a cinematic opera, as our singing waiters share their gift with you. Our opera singers are all local performers in the Greater Philadelphia area, and some of the greatest talents in the country.

Breakfast: Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning: Field Trip: Visit Benjamin Franklin's Print Shop, the birthplace of his political activism then we will visit Liberty Bell our national treasure

Lunch: Lunch at the Bourse.

Afternoon: Visit the Powel House home of Samuel Powel - place where Ben Franklin dined often at Mrs. Powel's Salon. The afternoon will be followed by a reception from 3:00 to 4:30 with activities, music and food with board members of the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks. The group will have an early dinner here.

Dinner: Early dinner at Samuel Powel place.

Evening: Enjoy an evening on your own- enjoy Fireworks on the Benjamin Franklin Boulevard

Day Three: Friday, July 05 - The Library Company and the Franklin Institute
Breakfast: Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning: FIELD TRIP: This morning we will visit The American Philsophicial Society Historic Hall with our educator where you will see a special exhibit relating to the Age of Enlightenment.The original building was designed by and with fund raised by friends of Benjamin franklin. Later on, enjoy an exclusive Road Scholar visit to the Declaration House led by your study leader.

Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: After lunch, we will visit visit the Library Company for an on-site lecture and viewing of artifacts such as the Houdin bust of Franklin. travel to the Franklin Institute where you will enjoy an on-site lecture and have the chance to see some of Franklin's scientific instruments.

Dinner: A special treat is in store this evening as we dine at City Tavern, enjoying a colonial meal and then we have a special opportunity to visit Independence Hall on a private tour.

Evening: Step back into history as the night watchman at Independence Hall lets us in to see history in making with Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams in discussion.

Breakfast: Breakfast on board in the venue of your choosing. Select one of the King's Court dining options on deck 7, go down to the Britannia Restaurant or relax with breakfast in your room as you watch the televised description of today's on board activities.

Morning: Gather with your group for a lecture: Franklin begins to command the international spotlight as inventor, scientist and media mogul: from the Pennsylvania Stove through the lightning rod to The Way to Wealth.

Lunch: Lunch on board in the venue of your choosing. Your options include the various King's Court venues, the Britannia Restaurant, Todd English (at additional cost) or a light lunch at the Boardwalk Cafe if the weather permits.

Afternoon: This afternoon take the opportunity to choose from among an array of on board activities. You might take Afternoon Tea in the Queen's Room, attend a lecture presented by one of Cunard's guest speakers, view a planetarium show, join a book discussion, participate in an art auction, compete in a bridge tournament, relax in one of the deckchairs and watch the horizon... just to name a few of your activity choices!

Dinner: Group dinner at 6:00 PM at the Britannina Restaurant, featuring several choices for each course prepared by award-winning chefs. Discuss the next day's itinerary as you dine with your group leader and lecturer.
