For people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
Moderate
These programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
Active
For people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately Challenging
For hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
Challenging
Get ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

A visit to the Santa Rita installations in Alto Jahuel constitutes a fascinating trip through Chilean history and viticulture. Santa Rita was founded in 1880, and was owned for many years by one of the country's most famous poets. They pioneered the planting of Bordeaux varietals and now are considered one of the best wineries of the country. In the May 2007 issue of Wine Spectator their 2002 flagship Cabernet was rated 92 points. (Tastings will be done during lunch.) Next you will visit the Museum of the Andes; the museum houses a stunning private collection of indigenous art and culture of Chile.
Lunch:
Lunch at La Casa de Dona Paula Restaurant, currently a National Monument named after Ms. Paula Jaraquemada, the former manor owner of Santa Rita estate over 200 years ago. She sheltered 120 of General Bernardo O'Higgins soldiers in the manor cellar after a fierce fight against Spanish Crown soldiers. The well-known 120 brand was created in the honor of those 120 patriots.
Afternoon:
Continue your field trip: Visit one of the most important and productive wineries in Chile, Concha y Toro Vineyard. Founded in 1883 near the picturesque little town of Pirque, it still maintains all the traditions of Chilean wines. Morning:
Field Trip "Punta Arenas & Fort Bulnes": Get an introduction to points of interest in Punta Arenas, and have the chance to see the rugged scenic beauty outside of the port with a visit to Fort Bulnes. Board your coach pier side for a sightseeing drive around this bustling frontier town, the capital of the Magallanes Region. Discover the charm of this southerly city, situated by the Strait of Magellan. See the Plaza de Armas, the main square, and to the Cerro la Cruz, a viewpoint of the city and the Magellan Strait, the port and the legendary Tierra del Fuego Island, Fireland. Visit the Maggiorino Borgatello Museum, founded by Salesian missionaries. This museum gives a comprehensive overview of the regional flora and fauna, the habitat of indigenous people of the region and regional history Also part of this visit is the pioneer cemetery with avenues lined by tall cypress and splendid mausoleums. A solemn tombstone indicates the place where the last of the now-extinct Ona Indians is buried.
Lunch:
Lunch at a local restaurant
Afternoon:
Continue your field trip: Travel on to Fort Bulnes, the first Chilean settlement in Patagonia. Fort Bulnes was founded in 1843, and had only 21 inhabitants as the first colonists. Due to lack of fresh water and poor pastures, the colony was moved to the site of modern day Punta Arenas only five years after its original settlement. The reconstruction of this settlement will demonstrate the lives and hardships of these first men and women living in a rugged frontier land. Next, head southwards on a very scenic road, always skirting the Strait of Magellan. Arrive at a small "hosteria" where you will sip a typical pisco sour - or distilled wine - drink and see a shearing show.

Cape Horn (named after the city of Hoorn in the Netherlands) is the southernmost headland of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago of Southern Chile and is located on the small island of Hornos. Cape Horn marks the northern boundary of the Drake Passage. The need for ships to round Cape Horn was greatly reduced by the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914. The cape lies within Chilean territorial waters, and the Chilean Navy maintains a station on Hoorn Island, consisting of a residence, utility building, chapel, and lighthouse. Large waves and gale force winds can make for rough sailing, so it is recommended that you take something for seasickness if you are susceptible.

On board, passengers will be able to relax in the comfortable public lounges, enjoy a drink in atmospheric Harry's Bar, in the sunshine on deck, at the Lido Bar. Alternatively, read a book in the well-stocked library.
