Description: The Warwick Center is located on 465 acres of pristine land overlooking the beautiful Warwick Valley. The Center offers 8 miles of beautiful hiking trails, beautiful views, a peaceful setting and access to many wonderful sites in and around the Hudson Valley.

Day One: Sunday, June 09 - Registration/Orientation
Afternoon: Arrive at The Warwick Conference Center in late afternoon for check-in beginning at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy a Wine and Cheese Reception and introduce yourself to fellow participants.

Dinner: Dinner is in the East House Dining Hall. Enjoy a bountiful buffet with entries varying from turkey, pork, chicken, fish, etc. Dinner will include a fresh salad bar, vegetables, potatoes, rolls, and dessert. All meals at The Warwick Conference Center include a vegetarian option.

Evening: Following dinner there will be a time of introductions and an orientation session to familiarize everyone with The Warwick Conference Center and the week's activities.

Day Two: Monday, June 10 -
Breakfast: Wake up to a hearty breakfast buffet. Daily entrées will rotate, but you can look forward to a variety of breakfast foods including scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast, ham, bacon, oatmeal, toast, muffins, yogurt, cold cereal, and hot coffee, tea, and orange juice.

Morning: Expert-led lecture and slides shown of present Hudson Valley Mansions to lay the foundation for your visits and to raise your awareness of what details to look for. Also enjoy an expert-led lecture on the lives of the 19-century "robber barons" who built these fabulous mansions and their relations with the government.

Lunch: Enjoy a buffet lunch in the East House Dining Hall with entrées including a variety of the following: soup, sandwiches, paninis, pasta, salad bar, and a dessert.

Afternoon: Continue to learn from an expert-led lecture about "The Robber Barons" - the Captains of the Industry and how they influenced each other, their workers, and the 19th century for good and bad.

Dinner: A plentiful buffet dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the East House Dining Hall.

Evening: Our Architectural historian will continue his presentation of slides of Hudson River Mansions - past and present. Enjoy an evening snack.

Day Three: Tuesday, June 11 - Locust Grove Mansion and FDR's Springwood, Librar...
Breakfast: Enjoy a hearty breakfast served buffet style in the East House Dining Hall.

Morning: Board the charter bus for Poughkeepsie, New York. Experience a docent-led guided walk through Locust Grove, an Italianate villa designed for artist and inventor Samuel F.B. Morse.

Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant in Hyde Park, New York.

Afternoon: Board the charter bus for Springwood, the boyhood home of Franklin Delano Roosevelt through his White House years. Learn from a docent-led guided walk through Springwood, stroll the rose garden where FDR and Eleanor are buried and view a documentary film on the life of FDR at the Henry Wallace Visitor Center.

Dinner: Dinner served buffet style in the East House Dining Hall.

Evening: Learn from an expert-led lecture from our architectural historian what it was like to grow up on the Astor mansion. Also view slides of mansions that no longer exist. Enjoy an evening snack.

Day Four: Wednesday, June 12 - Enjoy visiting Mills Mansion, the Vanderbilt Mans...
Enjoy visiting Mills Mansion, the Vanderbilt Mansion, and lunch at The Culinary Institute of America.

Breakfast: Enjoy a hearty country breakfast served buffet style in the East House Dining Hall.

Morning: Travel to Hyde Park, New York to enjoy an expert-led visit to Vanderbilt Mansion, the majestic 19th century mansion of Frederick and Louise Vanderbilt situated along the beautiful Hudson River.

Lunch: Board the charter bus to dine at St. Andrew's Cafe, one of five stellar restaurants at The Culinary Institute of America.

Afternoon: Board bus for Staatsburgh, New York. Enjoy a docent-led visit to Mills Mansion, the gilded age country home of Louise and Ogden Livingston Mills, financier and philanthropist.

Dinner: Enjoy a buffet dinner in the East House Dining Hall.

Evening: Enjoy a relaxing evening of entertainment followed by a delicious snack.

Day Five: Thursday, June 13 - Lyndhurst Mansion/Kykuit Mansion
Breakfast: A hearty country breakfast will be served buffet style in the East House Dining Hall.

Morning: Board the charter bus to Tarrytown, New York. Enjoy an expert-led visit to Lyndhurst, America's finest Gothic Revival mansion and magnificent Hudson Valley estate of railroad magnate Jay Gould.

Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: Learn about four generations of the Rockefeller family while experiencing a docent-led visit of Kykuit, an American legacy. Enjoy the architecture, remarkable gardens and extensive art collection assembled by art connoisseur, Nelson A. Rockefeller.

Dinner: Dinner served buffet style in the East House Dining Hall.

Evening: Free time to peruse to 465 acre Hilltop Estate of the Warwick Center, and make your own sundaes to enjoy as a snack.

Day Six: Friday, June 14 -
Breakfast: Breakfast served buffet style in the East House Dining Hall.

Morning: Enjoy an expert-led lecture on the music of the gilded age and what the wealthy of that time enjoyed.

Lunch: Lunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. in the East House Dining Hall. Departure and farewell immediately after lunch.
