Day One: Sunday, December 07 - Room Check-In & Register with Road Scholar Coordi...
Afternoon: 3pm is Hotel check-in. 4:00pm come to the designated meeting room (it will be posted) to register with your Program Coordinator and pick up your arrival packet. Programs are planned far in advance, so local circumstances may require changes from time to time. We will notify you as quickly as possible should there be any changes and appreciate your understanding

Dinner: 5:00pm: Enjoy your first meal at the colorful Tick Tock Diner, located just off the hotel lobby. This 24-hour diner features classic American cooking. White and black checkered floors and shiny chrome columns enhance the all-American ambience. Dinner in the diner is available and included even if you arrive late. Our meal is scheduled for 5:00pm so that we can get through orientation and have some time to explore on your own. If your arrival is delayed, please attend orientation and then eat afterwards.

Evening: 6:15pm: We begin our orientation to the program and introduce staff and members of the group. We’ll review the schedule and any updates and answer any questions you may have. Following orientation we will walk past the Christmas decorations at Macy's and Herald Square to the Empire State Building for a birds eye view.

Morning: One of Santa's elves gives a lecture on the history of Christmas and holiday celebrations in NYC

Lunch: Lunch in the Meeting Room

Afternoon: Visit: The Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The cathedral vies with Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for the title of the largest Anglican cathedral and church and fourth largest Christian church in the world.

Dinner: Dinner in the neighborhood

Evening: Optional after dinner event as available

Day Three: Tuesday, December 09 - Visit the Cloisters Museum, decked out for Christ...
Visit the Cloisters Museum, decked out for Christmas and then the Metropolitan Museum of Art with its Neapolitan Baroque Creche. After dinner, attend a performance of Handel's "Messiah" at St. Thomas Church.

Breakfast: Breakfast in the Tick Tock Diner

Morning: Head up to the Cloisters Museum devoted to the art and architecture of medieval times dating from the twelfth through fifteenth centuries.

Lunch: Lunch on your own at the Metropolitan Museum

Afternoon: Spend the afternoon at the Metropolitan Museum with its eighteenth-century Neapolitan Nativity scene-embellished with a profuse array of diminutive, lifelike attendant figures and silk-robed angels hovering above—adorns the candlelit spruce. Recorded music and lighting ceremonies add to the enjoyment of the holiday display.
