It is housed in an architecturally significant building constructed in the 1920s in the then-popular Georgian Revival style, for Provident National Bank. Our meals are in Davios restaurant (one of Philadelphia's finest). This stylish, upscale restaurant offers a variety of Northern Italian specialties. Lecture on Philadelphia history or art. Field trip to the National Constitution Center/Rodin Museum/Philadelphia Museum of Art/Orchestra Performance

Note: Limited walking at Nat. Constitution Ctr. and Rodin Museum. Lots of walking at Art Museum (pace it to your own stamina). Wheelchairs are available.

Breakfast: at hotel.

Morning: Early Philadelphia History lecture followed by field trip to the National Constitution Center which opened in 2003 and is the leading center on The Constitution, the Bill of rights and the amendments. We will then visit the Rodin Museum, which houses the largest collection of Rodin sculptures outside of Paris.

Lunch: Lunch is on your own today at The Philadelphia Museum of Art following our trip to the Rodin Museum.

Afternoon: After lunch at one of the cafes or the cafeteria, we will explore the galleries at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Dinner: Dinner at Davios Restaurant

Evening: PERFORMANCE: Mozart Overture to Don Giovanni Mozart Piano Concerto No. 20, K. 466 Mozart Symphony No. 40 (original version) Four performances over three days. Yannick and piano prodigy Jan Lisiecki present a special Mozart celebration. Three different programs feature three great strengths of Mozart's writing: his operas, his symphonies, and his piano concertos. The three overtures, taken from Mozart's most successful collaborations with librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte. Three piano concertos from 1785. And his final three symphonies.

Day Three: Sunday, April 27 - Liberty Bell/Independence Hall/Barnes on the Park...
Note: 2 blocks of walking around Independence Hall & Liberty Bell. Barnes Foundation limited walking: 12 galleries to view (benches in every gallery). Wheelchairs are available.

Breakfast: Hotel dining room.

Morning: After breakfast we leave for America's most historic mile to l visit Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The old cracked Bell still proclaims liberty and Independence Hall echoes the words, "We the People." Explore Franklin's Philadelphia and learn about the past and America's continuing struggle to fulfill the Founders' declaration that "all men are created equal."

Lunch: lunch out

Afternoon: Our afternoon is a delight with entry to The Barnes on the Parkway. Between 1912 and 1951, Albert C. Barnes assembled one of the finest collections of impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modern paintings in the world. Acquiring works by some of the most daring artists of the time Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Chaim Soutine, and Vincent van Gogh, among others?Barnes marked himself as a collector of great ambition and audacity.

Dinner: At hotel or at a popular restaurant.

Evening: Evening stroll to around the neighborhood

Day Four: Monday, April 28 - Morning lecture/lunch/program ends.

Morning: We will be listening to a lecture on Philadelphia architecture.

Morning: Following our lecture we will enjoy a farewell lunch at the hotel at 11:30 AM. Box lunches are not available.
