Description: Our location is considered one of the premier locations in Steamboat. We are located in Main Town directly across from the Hot Springs Pool and next door to Yampa River Park. We are within walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaurants. The bus service is free and stops at our driveway every 20 minutes. We are approx. 2 miles from the ski area.

Check-in at motel from 3 to 5 PM; Orientation in Motel Meeting Room at 5 PM. Our motel is ideally located in the central business district, across the street from the Hot Springs Pools and Spa; and the ski mountain shuttle bus stops in front of the motel.

Note: Steamboat is a premier ski and snowboard destination offering genuine western hospitality in a fun and family friendly environment located in the Colorado Rockies.

Afternoon: Check-in at motel from 3 to 5 PM; Orientaion in Motel Meeting Room at 5 PM.

Day Two: Monday, March 10 - Skiing
Note: Steamboat Ski Area is actually a complete mountain range: Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge and Christie Peak. 2,965 acres (1200 hectares) of permitted terrain offer a diversity of trails for all levels of ability. Gladed areas of Pioneer Ridge, Sunshine and Storm Peak are Steamboat's particular claim to fame, with legendary Champagne Powder® snow in the trees for the most avid powder hounds.

Breakfast: Continental breakfast in Motel lobby.

Morning: Skiing, during each day opportunities will exist for some coaching and group guided skiing.

Lunch: Voucher will be provided for on mountain dining

Afternoon: Skiing, during each day opportunities will exist for some coaching and group guided skiing.

Afternoon: Daily access to the famous Steamboat Springs Hot Springs Complex across the street from the Motel will be provided complimentary to Road Scholar participants.

Day Three: Tuesday, March 11 - Skiing
Note: The Yampa Valley was the summer hunting grounds of the Ute Indians for hundreds of years. The Yampatika Ute and Arapaho tribes also visited the area for its mineral or “medicine” springs considered sacred places of physical and spiritual healing. The name of Steamboat Springs around the early 1800s when French trappers thought they heard the chugging sound of a steamboat’s steam engine. The sound turned out to be a natural mineral spring, to be named the Steamboat Spring.

Morning: Skiing, during each day opportunities will exist for some coaching and group guided skiing.

Note: Over the past six years Steamboat has invested nearly $30 million into the sculpture of the ski run terrain, the engineering of the chairlifts, the architecture of the restaurants, and the science behind the snow making. The results are an excellent ski experience!
