ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.

Museum visit, meet with members of the Virginia International Tattoo and Tattoo performance

Breakfast: All breakfasts will be at the hotel. They serve a variety of plated options. Breakfasts may also be served as a buffet. TBD

Morning: FIELD TRIP: This morning we will visit the Glass blowing Studio at the Chrylser Museum. The Main buliding of the museum is under costruction this year and as such will be closed. Centuries-old paintings cannot be kept in a facility without temperature and humidity control, so as this work progresses, portions of the Museum will be closed as the art is moved into safekeeping. The entire main building has been closed throughout 2013, with the intended grand reopening of the Museum scheduled for April 2014. If the main building is open, we will explore this venue.

Lunch: Lunch will be provided in one of Norfolk's many lovely restaurants.

Afternoon: LECTURE: Meet with performers and directors of the Festival to learn planning, booking and performing in the Tattoo. This discussion will be followed by a behind the scenes tour of the Tattoo.

Dinner: Another wonderful three course dinner will be served at the hotel. You will make dinner selections prior to arrival.

Evening: PERFORMANCE: The beat of the drums, the call of the trumpets, the roar of the crowds-the mighty sounds of the Virginia International Tattoo return to Norfolk in May! The Tattoo is sure to set hearts racing with more than 850 performers from several countries joining forces, including the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, Germany and the Czech Republic. It was awarded the American Bus Association's prestigious "Internationally Known Event" designation as one of the "Top 100 Events in North America". The Tattoo thrills with music, majesty, and might. You have to see it to believe it!

They are a membership organization of female singers, who meet regularly to practice, perform, socialize, and have fun. The Virginia Coast Chorus (VCC) was founded in 1986. We range in age from teens to 80s - we are nurses, teachers, government employees, administrative assistants, homemakers, students, retirees - everyday women just like you. We have varied music backgrounds from degrees in music to "can't read a note!" We currently have approximately 40 members from all parts of the Greater Tidewater area. Virginia Coast Chorus loves to get out and sing for our community. We sing at annual shows, a number of community events, and at annual competitions. We are available to sing at your next function or event. If you're looking for a unique musical experience to liven up your event, please check out our Hire Us section. Education In addition to sharing our music with others, another great passion of ours is learning more about the art of a Capella singing. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals, and a very important component of the chorus experience. A couple of times a year, we will get coaching from a visiting master in the art of barbershop, where we learn many fabulous tricks of the trade
