Morning: Coach departs promptly at 9:30AM for today's excursion. Get a taste of the Big Apple on this half-day, guided sightseeing adventure and discover New York's most celebrated landmarks. Begin your sightseeing drive of Manhattan and view Rockefeller Centre, Times Square, the Theatre District, the Empire State Building and St. Patrick's Cathedral from the comfort of an air-conditioned motor coach. Travel through quintessential New York neighborhoods as you pass Greenwich Village, Little Italy, the Financial District, Fifth Avenue and Central Park. The highlight of your New York exploration will be a visit to the 9/11 Memorial. In the distance is the Statue of Liberty, proudly and steadfastly raising her torch as a beacon of freedom and democracy. Following your stop at Winter Garden, resume your travels on the pulsing streets of the city before transfering to the ship.

Day Five: Wednesday, May 07 - St. George's / BIOS
Breakfast: Enjoy breakfast on board the ship.

Morning: Arrive at King's Wharf, Bermuda. After disembarkation we'll drive along the scenic northern coastline of Bermuda, eastbound to the historic town of St George's. This remarkable shoreline offers photo opportunities along the way of the Governor's Mansion as well as Bermuda's green turtles in Flats Village. Upon entering St George's, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will feel as if you have stepped back in time. A stop in the heart of the Town Square allows you to enter the island's First House of Assembly. Across the main street sits the oldest active Anglican church in the western hemisphere-St Peter's Church. Step inside to marvel at its amazing state of preservation. You will enter Fort St Catherine where old swords and pistols are on display. Take in the stunning views from high atop this grand fortress. On adjacent St David's Island, discover the charm of this unique and enchanting community, once a US Air Force Base.

Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: Continue along to the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences. After a short lecture and tour of the facility, we'll take a short cruise with the BIOS scientist as he demonstrates a plankton tow. Then back at BIOS we'll view our specimens under microscopes.

Dinner: Dinner on board.

Evening: Enjoy activites on board the ship or travel to Hamilton to enjoy Hamilton's festive 'Harbour Night', Bermuda's "biggest block party."

Day Six: Thursday, May 08 - Hamilton / Royal Navy Dockyard
Breakfast: Breakfast on board ship.

Morning: Join Tim Rogers for a walk around the Royal Navy Dockyard, just steps from where our ship is docked.

Lunch: Lunch on board.

Afternoon: In the afternoon we'll take a ferry to Hamilton and explore Bermuda's capital. This short walking tour led by Tim Rogers will cover main streets as well as the Bermuda Historical Society Museum, Par-la ville Park and City Hall. Stop in at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.Some down hill (but not steep) walking is required.

Morning: Drive along the scenic coast back to the Hamilton area to visit The Verdmont House Museum. This fascinating and beautiful old house is one of Bermuda’s most significant historic buildings. Built c. 1710, Verdmont is a unique example of early Georgian architecture, and has remained virtually unchanged for 300 years. Continue on for a short drive to the Bermuda Botanical Gardens.
