Note: Visit Fine Arts School, Central Plaza, Parish Church of San Miguel Archangel, Plaza Civica, The Church of Our Lady of Health and the Museo Casa de Don Ignacio Allende y Unzaga (Allende's House). Biblioteca Publica (Second Largest Billingual Public Library in Mexico and a Craft's Market. This is a mile of walking w/stops at 6 sites of interest.

Morning: Program Orientation Lecture: History of San Miguel de Allende Walking excursion : downtown San Miguel de Allende Includes Nigromante Fine Arts School, Central Plaza, Parish Church of San Miguel Archangel, Plaza Civica, Church of Our Lady of Health and Museo Casa de Don Ignacio Allende y Unzaga (Allende's House).

Lunch: Local Restaurant.

Afternoon: Walking excursion contines; Biblioteca Publica (Second Largest Billingual Public Library in Mexico) and visit a Craft's Market. Return to hotel Lecture: History of Mexico Social Hour

Evening: Free time for a relaxing evening.

Field Trip: Dolores Hidalgo Visit a Pottery Factory Lecture: Arts and Crafts of Mexico

Note: Visit buildings of importance in Dolores Hidalgo. Total walk for the day is 1/2 mile with 3 stops.

Morning: Lecture: Culture and Tradition in Mexico Field Trip: Dolores Hidalgo to visit buildings of importance to this historical site.

Afternoon: Return to San Miguel de Allende. En route visit to handicraft (Pottery factory)

Dinner: Participants will be on their own for dinner.

Field Trip: Charco del Ingenio Ecological Park and La Aurora Art and Design Center House

Note: Lecture(s): Economic and Political Situation in Mexico and Culture and Tradition in Mexico. Walking distance of approx. 2 miles for the day.

Morning: Lecture: "Economic and Political Situation in Mexico" presented by a historian. Following the lecture participants will go on a field trip to Charco del Ingenio Ecological Park.

Lunch: Local Restaurant

Afternoon: Field trip continues to La Aurora Art and Design Center housed in a former textile factory from the turn of the century. After returning to the Hotel and prior to dinner there will be a lecture on the "Culture and Tradition in Mexico".

Dinner: Tonight's cuisine will be served at a local restaurant.

Excursion: Escondido Place Thermal Spring Visit 18th Century Church at Atotonilco Lecture(s): "History of Mining in Mexico" and "San Miguel de Allende Style of Life"

Note: Visit Thermal Spring w/option for a Thermal Bath, Spa and Massage Treatment Two lectures will be presented today: "History of Mining in Mexico" and "San Miguel de Allende Style of Life"

Morning: Lecture: History of Mining in Mexico Excursion: Escondido Place Thermal Spring Optional: Thermal Bath, Spa and Massage Treatment On the way we will visit an XVIII Century Church at Atotonilco

Lunch: The group will enjoy lunch in restaurant at Escondido Place.

Afternoon: Return to San Miguel de Allende Afternoon lecture presented by a local instructor "San Miguel de Allende Style of Life"

Dinner: Participants will be on their own for dinner.

Evening: No scheduled evening activities.

Note: City tour of important buildings such as: Alhondiga de Granaditas, Diego Rivera's Museum and University of Guanajuato. Walking distance of 1/2 mile but there will be a possibility of 5 stories of stairs to climb.

Morning: Depart by Motorcoach to Guanajuato. Upon arrival to Historic Guanajuato enjoy a City tour visiting important buildings i.e.: Alhondiga de Granaditas, Diego Rivera's Museum and University of Guanajuato.

Lunch: Lunch at Local Guanajuato Restaurant .

Afternoon: City tour field trip continues. This will be a chance to view the colonial area Spanish Architecture and enjoy a panoramic view of Guanajuato. The group will check into the Mexico Plaza Hotel about 4:PM. There will be time to refresh before the farewell dinner.

Dinner: Farewell Dinner at the Mexico Plaza Hotel.

Evening: There will be a chance to bid our new friends farewell following dinner. It has been a great learning adventure and the memories will long remain with us.
