Morning: Tour the Tanglewood Grounds

Lunch: Lunch at the Formal Gardens Tent.

Afternoon: Enjoy a lecture by a Boston Symphony Orchestra administrator followed by an Instrument demonstration with a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Dinner: Dinner

Evening: "This Week at Tanglewood" Presentation and Boston Symphony Orchestra concert at the Tanglewood Shed. Christoph Eschenbach (conductor), Christine Schäfer (soprano), ALL-MOZART PROGRAM “Ch’io mi scordi di te…Non temer, amato bene,”Concert aria for soprano and orchestra, with piano, K.505 /// Piano Concerto No. 12 in A, K.414 Symphony No. 41, Jupiter. The “shed” is where the symphony performs all of their concerts and is covered. Participants have seats right in the middle, though many people sit outside on the lawn.

Morning: Lecture with Dr. Jeremy Yudkin, Chair of the Musicology Department at Boston University. Afterwards, pick up your boxed lunch and enjoy your Free Time!

Lunch: Boxed Lunches at your leisure

Afternoon: Free time to explore the area. Ask your Group Leader for suggested free time activities. Possible excursions may include visiting the Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacobs Pillow, or Chesterwood Estate and Museum, home of Daniel Chester French, the sculptor of the seated Lincoln monument in Washington, D.C. RETURN TO THE HOTEL and depart to Tanglewood for a talks and instrument demonstrations with BSO musicians.

Dinner: Dinner at Tanglewood

Evening: Boston Symphony Orchestra concert at the Tanglewood Shed. Andris Nelsons (conductor), Krist ne Opolais (soprano), Lioba Brown (mezzo-soprano), Dmytro Popov (tenor), Ferruccio Furlanetto (bass) Tanglewood Festival Chorus (John Oliver, conductor). VERDI -Requiem.
