Breakfast/Information for the Day, Golf Course Tour, Rules and Etiquette on the Game/Lunch/Instruction for Short Play, Golf Play/Dinner/Free Time

Note: Tour of both golf couses - the Links and the Woodlands on golf carts with GPS navigational systems. Expert led instructions on chipping and putting with time to practice, and free time after dinner to play golf.

Breakfast: Buffet-style breakfast is served in the dining room.

Morning: We will gather each morning as we "start" our day at the Golf Course Clubhouse. We will go over the schedule for the day, where we will be and when, and respond to any questions or concerns. We will begin the golf sessions with a tour (on golf carts) of our two premier courses, the Links and the Woodlands. You will see the challenges that lie ahead on these two distinctively different courses. After our tour we will have a refreshment break. Our second session for some will be a reminder, for others it will be new information. You will take a look at the game of golf and learn the rules and the etiquette necessary for proper play. For some it may call for a revision of habits, for others it will be helpful preparation.

Lunch: Lunch will be served at the Caddyshack Restaurant, which is located in the golf course clubhouse.

Afternoon: The afternoon will begin with short game instructions concentrating on chipping and putting. So you have great drives! If you can't chip on and putt out in two (well, three) what good is the drive? This session will be followed by golf play. Golf play is subject to the availability of course space and tee times. You will be assigned to either a front or back nine on one of the two courses. Your Road Scholar program fee covers three nine hole games, subject to availability, weather permitting, and a nine-hole team scramble. A bonus nine may be available on Friday morning for early risers, and evening play will also be available depending on course availability. For those not wanting to golf or if the weather is inclement, free time is offered to enjoy our beautiful grounds, go for a walk, rest, socialize, shop in our gift store, golf store or in nearby communities.

Dinner: Buffet-style dinner is served in the Bauer Dining Room in the Welcome Center.

Evening: Tonight will we offer a round of golf for those wishing to play. You may eat in the dining room and when finished you can head out to the course. If the weather does not cooperate you may choose to visit the nearby towns or adjourn to the lobby or lounge of your housing accommodations for conversation before retiring for the evening.
