Program #21014RJ
3 Days | 2 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Scenic boat cruise of Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island / Visit to Liberty Island

Breakfast: Breakfast at Bill's Bar and Burger, located in hotel. Breakfast starts at 7am and ends at 9am. Please dine at your leisure with your voucher but be ready to depart for our morning excursion at 9:30.

Morning: After breakfast we make our way to Battery Park to board a 10:00am ferry to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty. Ferry ride is approximately 25 minutes. Audio tours will be used once we get to Liberty Island. If you wish you may also visit inside the Statue pedestal and the museum. Note, please be aware that security on Liberty Island is very tight and there will be at least one check point that you must pass through. Once we finish exploring we'll return by ferry back to Battery Park. Ellis Island will be visible on the left. Hurricane Sandy left Ellis Island largely submerged and damaged. The National Park Service was able to reopen Liberty Island this past July, however they are still working to make Ellis Island accessible again.
