 Description: Participants will be staying on site at the Camp Make A Dream's 87-acre Gold Creek facility located among scenic ranch land in the foothills of the Flint Creek Range of the Rocky Mountains near the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest. The group will have access to the Gold Creek Lodge, which is the 11,000-square-foot main lodge. The lodge features an activity room with ping-pong and pool tables, foosball and a large-screen TV. An expansive terrace, with a large hot tub and swimming pool, wraps around the lodge and overlooks the valley. Come early or stay longer and enjoy the many ammenities in Missoula, Montana, one of Montana's larger cities located 65 miles west of Camp Make-A-Dream. Other possible excursion options includes Garnet Ghost Town 35 miles west of the camp, or a breathtaking drive on the Pintler Scenic Loop, which is a 63 mile drive that takes you from the camp to nearby Drummond, Philipsburg and Anaconda. The road follows Flint Creek as it takes you by snow capped mountains, sage covered hills, pristine lakes, and open meadows.

Brief tour and history of Camp Make-A-Dream, project orientation and project work.

Breakfast: Breakfast on site

Morning: Project orientation, safety meeting and Camp Make A Dream brief tour. The Camp was founded in 1991 by Harry and Sylvia Granader, who donated 87 acres of their Montana ranch. A coalition of business associates and community volunteers in Missoula, Montana raised enough funds to construct the Camp facility. Harry's dream of bringing sick children to see a working Montana ranch became a reality. Camp's doors opened for the first time in 1995, welcoming 46 kids with cancer. Today, cost-free programs are offered year-round for children and families affected by cancer. Since opening its doors, Camp Make-A-Dream has welcomed more than 4,500 participants from across the United States, Canada, and several other countries. Participants will be divided into work groups according to abilities and work projects will begin.

Afternoon: Volunteers will assist with projects including painting, various maintenance projects, washing windows, cleaning cabins, getting bedding ready, weeding and planting flower beds in memorial gardens, and working in mini golf course.

Project work continues and an evening presentation on Camp Make-A-Dream's history, programs, opportunities and how it reaches sick children all over the world.

Breakfast: Breakfast on site

Morning: Daily briefing. Project work with breaks. When campers experience Camp Make-A-Dream, they and their families feel safe. A critical component of Camp is a full-service, on-site health facility. The facility's isolation and treatment rooms provide for the accommodation of campers who require a high level of care, as well as for those undergoing active treatment. A dedicated, professional and experienced staff of doctors and nurses volunteer their time for each Camp session to provide advanced treatment such as IV antibiotics, oral chemotherapy and even blood transfusions

Afternoon: Work projects continue

Dinner: Dinner on site

Evening: Camp staff will give a presentation on Camp Make-A-Dream's history, programs, opportunities and how it reaches sick children all over the world, and fulfills Camp founder, Harry Granader's, dream of bringing sick children to see a working Montana ranch.

Day Six: Friday, May 17 - Work projects wind up, reflections and closing  
Breakfast: Breakfast on site

Morning: Daily briefing and project work

Lunch: Lunch on site

Afternoon: Work projects wind up. Time to reflect on a job well done, bid a reluctant goodbye to Camp Make-A-Dream and all it offers to children and families affected by cancer.

Dinner: Dinner on site

Evening: Final presentation of stories and pictures reflects the many life changing experiences that happen during a summer at Camp. Highlighted are the many volunteers who help to provide a medically supervised, cost-free Montana experience in an intimate community setting for children, young adults and families affected by cancer.

Day Seven: Saturday, May 18 - Packing up and final cleaning of the rooms stayed in during the week.

Morning: Participants pack up their belongings for departure then clean their rooms so camp is ready for the campers.

Brunch: 10:45 am grab-n-go brunch. Shuttle leaves at 11 am.
