Jay has twice been recognized as New England Teacher of the Year and rated by Golf Digest as the #1 instructor in Vermont. Jay will give a quick introduction to his teaching philosophy and then participants will divide into small groups according to ability level, led by one of the certified PGA pros. Your instructor will work with you on aspects of swing basics, grip, putting, chipping, wood play, etc., as appropriate to your skill and experience.Lunch: Lunch at the Mount Snow Golf Club offers choices from the menu such as salads, sandwiches, burgers, soft drinks.Afternoon: GOLF INSTRUCTION FIELD TRIP continues: You will have two more hours of instruction that may include bunker play, putting, and the like, both on the range and on the course. Put your new and improved techniques into practice under the watchful eye of your golf pro.
Following the class, enjoy a round of golf with your fellow participants on the beautiful Mount Snow course. Return to the hotel at your leisure to relax poolside or enjoy the facilities.Dinner: Dinner at the hotel or at the golf club with a multiple choice menu.Evening: PRESENTATION: One of the PGA pros will discuss the U.S. Golf Association Rules of the Game covering definitions, 34 rules of golf, and fine points including some of 100+ decisions on the rules.Lodging: Grand Summit HotelMeals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
GOLF INSTRUCTION FIELD TRIP: The day’s instruction includes a presentation on club fitting. Golf is about confidence as well as skill, in your game and your equipment, and using the highest performing equipment will benefit your game. The approach to fitting begins with a unique understanding of players’ performance. The golf school's highly skilled team of fitters utilizes the most advanced tools to help you optimize driver performance, make iron play more precise, dial in your wedges, and fine-tune set compositions.
Continue with instruction and play at the Mount Snow Golf Club and Practice Facility with your PGA Professional, both at the practice facility and on course.Lunch: Lunch at the Mount Snow Golf Club offers choices from the menu such as salads, sandwiches, burgers, soft drinks.Afternoon: GOLF INSTRUCTION FIELD TRIP continues: Work with the pros on different aspects of your game that may also include techniques on course management.
Feel free to play 9 holes with your fellow participants following classes on this wonderful championship course that has been home to the Vermont Senior Championships.Dinner: Dinner at the Golf Club following free grolf time. May be served at a local restaurant.Evening: PRESENTATION: Golf Etiquette with a PGA Professional. Unlike many sports, golf is played for the most part without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of each individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the rules. Golf etiquette means all players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, regardless of how competitive they may be.
