At 11:00 AM, bus departs for Museum Hill.Lunch: Lunch at Museum Hill Cafe from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. There will be several menu choices, including a vegetarian item.Afternoon: This afternoon, you'll attend an artists roundtable discussion at the Wheelwright Museum. The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian is dedicated to contemporary and traditional American Indian art, with an emphasis on the Southwest. Its architectural design traces its inspiration to the traditional Navajo hogan and the Case Trading Post is modeled after some of the old trading posts of the southwest, creaky floors and all! The Case Trading Post will be hosting its annual Indian Market exhibition at this time. This must-see event will feature artists, roundtable discussions, conversations with collectors, and artist demonstrations.
You'll also visit the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and the Museum of International Folk Art. These two museums, part of the State of New Mexico museum system, are two of the finest museums in the world. Their collections are vast and beautifully displayed. The bus departs for the hotel at 3:30 PM, where you'll have some free time from about 4:00-5:30 PM.
Bus departs for dinner destination at 5:30 PM.Dinner: Dinner at a selected restaurant from 5:45-7:15 PMEvening: At 7:15 PM, walk to the Santa Fe Convention Center, where you will attend the long-awaited Indian Market General Preview and see the juried submissions and the award-winning pieces.
This evening's event is a feast for the eyes, with the best of classification and division well represented.

Standing for several hours during the day at Indian MarketBreakfast: If you're an early-bird Indian Market attendee, we'll have the breakfast room open with most of the food out by 6:00 AM (if you want to go to the Plaza this early, you'll need to walk - it's about six blocks). Regular breakfast from 7:00 to 8:00 AM Morning: If you've chosen to walk downtown, plan to arrive at the Plaza for the official opening of Indian Market at 8:00 AM.
For those who want transportation, the bus will leave the hotel at 8:00 AM to take you downtown. Then, spend your time at Indian Market viewing the dazzling array of Native American arts and crafts from around the country.Lunch: Lunch will be on your own - there will be many food vendors near the Plaza selling all kinds of traditional Native American and Northern New Mexican food, and there are many restaurants in the Plaza area as well.Afternoon: Indian Market activities continue on the Plaza. When you're tired of looking at the artwork, you can find a seat and listen to the music, enjoy the demonstration booths or taste some of the native cuisine.Dinner: Dinner will be on your own tonight to allow you to explore some of the local cuisine! At 9:00 AM, the Native American style show will be presented on the stage in the center of the downtown Plaza. This event gives you an opportunity to see another form of Native American art, as the clothing designs are as intricate and magnificent as the pottery, jewelry, and paintings you'll be seeing this weekLunch: Meet at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza hotel for lunch from 12:30-1:30 PMAfternoon: After lunch, walk to the Pablita Velarde Museum of Indian Women in the Arts. The bus will depart for the hotel at 3:15 PM.
