While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Close [ x ]
Easy
For people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
Moderate
These programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
Active
For people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately Challenging
For hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
Challenging
Get ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Challenge on “CLAS Ropes Course” "C" Challenging "L" Leadership "A" Adventure "S" Systems Please wear casual clothes and closed-toe shoes for this activity. You will be climbing, swinging and participate in group experiences on and off the ground. Mission: To improve personal effectiveness and group dynamics through comprehensive experiential challenges. Vision: To facilitate opportunities for people to tangibly recognize and internalize their own personal worth/value and realize their fullest potential, both as individuals and as part of the group dynamic of home, work and society as a whole. To assist individuals in developing leadership potential so that they may become a more positive and effective influence for good in their personal environment and in relationship to all those with whom they interact. Introduction: People learn more through experience than through any other method of learning. Challenge course participants learn techniques in problem solving, leadership, human relationships, communication skills, conflict resolution, group cooperation, building self-confidence and esteem, trust, self-direction, motivation, and values. Analogies can be made to life-relevant topics, helping to increase understanding and strengthen character. The aim is to allow the participants to view themselves as increasingly capable and competent. By attempting a graduated series of activities which involve physical or emotional risk, and succeeding (or sometimes failing) in a supportive group atmosphere, an individual may gain confidence in himself/herself and others. Each activity is based on the assumption that anyone who conscientiously tries will be successful. Success is in making an effort. A cooperative, supportive atmosphere tends to encourage participation. The use of teams, points, and timed competition has consciously been minimized to allow participants to succeed without fear of failure. Return to Hotel.

Morning:
Group Meeting: Introduce SR-71 Project Flight & Safety Briefing Introduction of Pilots. You will each be given a Flight Log Book (covered in your tuition) which your Flight Instructor will be able to record that you have completed three hours (one hour in simulator and two hours of actual flight) toward your 40 hours required for a Pilot's License! Some Grandparents want to "give" their flight time to their Grandchild. This is not allowed, as it will cause jealously amongst the other Grandchildren, and extreme frustration amongst the other Grandparents. Most Grandparents sign up for this program to fully participate in this program with their Grandchild. You either "use" your flight time, or "lose" your flight time. Begin Simulator Training, in order to learn how to take off and land. For Flight Time, the Aviation program has a fleet of two-person (you and your co-pilot), single-engine Diamond Katana Aircraft. These are considered the most advanced and safest training aircrafts in the industry. Watch Aviation Videos, Build SR-71 Black Bird Model Kits.

Afternoon:

Breakfast:
Enjoy a delicious Breakfast anytime in the Conference Room.
Morning:
Training activity at the Utah Air National Guard. The Guard is America’s Army. We are community based but with capabilities that stretch worldwide. The 373-year tradition that we enjoy as Guard members is, in every sense, as relevant today as during colonial times. The Utah National Guard has a unique dual mission that encompasses support to our Nation and to the State of Utah. Maintain properly trained and equipped units available for prompt mobilization for war, national emergency or as otherwise needed. Provide trained and disciplined forces for domestic emergencies or as otherwise required by state law. Tour of the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker is an aerial refueling military aircraft. It and the Boeing 707 airliner were developed from the Boeing 367-80 prototype. The KC-135 was the US Air Force's first jet-powered refueling tanker and replaced the KC-97 Stratotanker. The Stratotanker was initially tasked to refuel strategic bombers, but was used extensively in the Vietnam War and later conflicts such as Operation Desert Storm to extend the range and endurance of US tactical fighters and bombers. Serving with the United States Air Force (USAF) since 1957, it is one of just six military fixed-wing aircraft with over 50 years of continuous service with its original operator. The KC-135 is supplemented by the larger KC-10. Despite increased maintenance costs, studies conclude many of the aircraft could be flown until 2040. The aircraft will be replaced by the Boeing KC-46. Visit the Fire Station and learn about what the fire fighter's responsibilities are and what kind of equipment they use, like the fire hoses.
Lunch:
Lunch
Afternoon:
Museum Briefing and Explore Hill Aerospace Museum. The Museum exhibits more than 90 military aircraft, missiles, and aerospace vehicles on the grounds and inside the Major General Rex A. Hadley Gallery and the Lindquist Stewart Fighter Gallery. Our collection also includes a wide variety of ordnance and munitions, an assortment of aerospace ground equipment, military vehicles, uniforms, and thousands of other historical artifacts. Visit the Infamous 388th Fighter Wing Unit. The 388th Fighter Wing delivers combat capability to deploy, employ, and sustain F 16s worldwide to Fly, Fight, and Win any conflict. With more than 2,000 military and civil service professionals, the wing consists of eight squadrons which maintain and operate 48 primary assigned F-16CM aircraft and maintain the Utah Test and Training Range. The 388th FW's motto is, "Airpower is the power of Airmen!" and get a VIP tour of the F-16's.
Dinner:
Dinner
Evening:
In the Conference Room will have a Guest Speaker: Ret. Lt. Col. Gil Bertelson, served the U.S. Air Force as a pilot for the SR-71 Black Bird, a strategic reconnaissance aircraft. Only 32 Black Birds were ever built, and the plane took its first flight on December 22, 1964. Since 1976, it has held the world record for the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft. Gil Bertelson enjoys sharing his exciting, professional experiences as a SR-71 pilot, as well as the history and legendary stories of the Black Bird aircrafts.

Take a stroll along rustic wooden sidewalks, get your picture taken in Old West apparel or cool off with a double scoop of ice cream from the Pioneer Village Ice Cream Parlor. Memories of the Old West abound at Lagoon each summer as pioneer artifacts transport Lagoon guests 100 years back in time. Guns, Slingshots, Crossbows and Cannons at Pioneer Village is the reconstruction of a typical frontier community as it might have existed in the late 1800s. This community consists of 42 authentic 19th century stores and buildings, and artifacts with which they might have been furnished. Pioneer Village features one of the finest collections of small arms in the country, including guns, slingshots, crossbows and cannons. The Carriage Hall features almost every type of wheeled conveyance used at the turn of the century. A Rock Chapel stands at the head of Pioneer Village. Originally constructed in Coalville, Utah, in 1853, the building was first used as a fort. It later served as a courthouse, a schoolhouse and a church. Other treasures in Pioneer Village include a one-room schoolhouse, two-story sawed log house, smokehouse, millinery shop, clock shop, tool museum, hardware store, cobbler shop, co-op, print shop, music hall, gingerbread house, doll museum and town hall.

Splash and play in our lazy river, surrounded by sparkling waterfalls, exotic tunnels, tropical lagoons and a castaway island of fun just for kids.
