Meet the staff and fellow participants. Tour the Kansas Cosmosphere and enjoy local barbecue.
Arrive To:
Arrive at the Hampton Inn, Hutchinson and settle in. Cosmosphere staff members will arrive and check all participants into the program, then load the buses for the Cosmosphere. Once there, you will meet and greet our world class staff and take a short tour of the awe inspiring facility, which among many other things, houses a flown SR-71 Blackbird in its lobby.
Dinner:
The first meal features a taste of Kansas Bar-B-Que from local restaurant Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Que!

- Fly in a Cessna 172 . Experience Flight Simulators and tour our Hall...
Fly in a Cessna 172 . Experience Flight Simulators and tour our Hall of Space Museum.
Breakfast:
Breakfast in the hotel.
Morning:
Team announcements and naming. Break down the four forces of flight and practice in our air force grade flight simulators. Learn about flight planning and conduct a pre-flight inspection of the Cessna C172. Then, hang on as you fly along with your grandchild at the controls, as they take their first hands on lesson in the air with a certified flight instructor. Enjoy our flagship planetarium presentation, the Night Sky Live.
Lunch:
Lunch will be catered in by a local restaurant.
Afternoon:
Spend your first moments in our world class space museum, the Hall of Space, and discover the Cargo Bay. Build your own rockets for launch. Begin to build your team with a challenging puzzle.
Dinner:
Enjoy dinner at Bogey's, home of 100 milkshake flavors.

Experience Dr. Goddard's Lab, an interactive show about rocketry. Begin Astronaut training in our simulators. Launch model rockets.

Morning:
Experience Dr. Goddard’s Lab, our best and most unique presentation. See how our rockets work in the midst of amazing explosions.
Lunch:
Great Western Dining will provide lunch at the Hutchinson Community College Cafeteria.
Afternoon:
This is one packed afternoon: First shot at the Falcon III Shuttle simulator. Multi Axes Trainer Simulator Enter a full scale Soyuz Module built to train American astronauts. Design your team’s mission patch. Tackle the stress simulator. Get your picture taken in an Apollo spacesuit mock-up.
Dinner:
Great Western Dining will provide dinner at the Hutchinson Community College Cafeteria.

Tour the Underground Salt Mine in Hutchinson. Tour aircraft facilities in Wichita Kansas. Dine at Carriage Crossing Restaurant in the Amish community of Yoder, Kansas.
Note:
Closed toed shoes with closed heels are required for aircraft facility tour.

Find the unexpected 650' beneath the Kansas wheat in the Kansas Underground Salt Museum. This unique recourse is home to most of Hollywood's movies and other important and historical files and records from around the world.

For decades, Wichita, KS has been known as the "Air Capital". Find out why as we tour an actual aircraft manufacturing facility and expose your youngster to flight simulators used to train real pilots.

Observe the night sky through our state of the art 11" reflecting telescope

Astronaut training continues in our simulators. Fly a simulated Space Shuttle Mission in our Falcon Space Shuttle simulator.

Morning:
Optional morning activities. Sleep-in late or set out on your own adventures. Antiquing for the grown-ups. Competitive games for the grandchildren.
Lunch:
Lunch at the Airport Buffet for the grown-ups; pizza for the grandchildren.
Afternoon:
Complete your Falcon III mission. One last practice in the mock-up. Learn how the Cosmosphere came to be in Hutchinson. Build and test a robot. One last look at the Hall of Space. You'll appreciate the extra time. It is that good.
Dinner:
The Anchor Inn: the finest Mexican cuisine in south central Kansas.
